One of my favorite 80's movies, They Live, will be re-released on 9/23, replacing the rare and expensive first print. Anyone find any info on any new special features, etc? DeepDiscountDVD.com has got the pre-order for only $9.35 shipped, so I'm sadly thinking bare bones. But hey, look at the Killer Klowns disc!

It's really a shame, though, that they couldn't have included the commentary by John Carpenter and Roddy Piper from the Region 2 disc, but hey, at least it's cheap.

Yes I love this movie. It would a been cool if there were a couple feature at lease. I'm going to get it anyway.

Universal don't have the rights. The comm was recordedby German group Kinowelt for their SE, and it was licensed out to the UK's Momentum.

It is sad, but at least the region one will have the correct aspect ratio. The r2's are a little cropped on the sides - I'm sure it's not intentional, given Carpenter's use of the 2.39:1 frame.

I'm looking GREATLY forward to getting this DVD FINALLY! I couldn't justify spending $50 or more for it on eBay.

The R2 Commentary is fantastic and great fun to listen to.

Shame its not on the R1.

Go region free and get the SE of it. It includes commentary and other great features. Same with Carptner's 'Prince of Darkness' (which I just got today).
