I mean, the show is never funny because of the plot, but because of the funny stuff that happens during the plot. In the movie I'm sure we will be looking at a WHOLE LOT of plot.
P.S. Sorry in advance if that doesn't make sense, it's hard to put my genius thoughts into words

Holy Crap! that is cool news.
"You have your choice of flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry or People."
"What was that last one?"
"Strawberry"
This show isn't just like the simpsons... this show went places that the simpsons wouldn't have gone and set up a tent and sold tee-shirts!
Stewie: "I'm tellin' you Juice... she is screwing around on you... and if I was in your Bruno Mali's, I wouldn't stand for it!"
I can't wait... I don however find it odd that Fox never showed much confidence in this series until the DVDs sold though the roof. Oh well, at least they seem to love it now!

I'd almost rather it go direct to DVD then have to deal with a theatrical release. They won't have to worry about MPAA butchery that way either.

Man, I can't wait for this!! I got into the show on DVD after seeing so much positive feedback on it and I'm glad I did. I've been laughing my ass off through seasons 1 and 2. Can't wait to grab season 3 Tuesday.
I'd rather see another season of episodes, but I'll definitely take a feature on DVD.

Wow, great news!
What's maybe even more exciting is the fact that someone actually RESPONDED to the great dvd sales. Someone already mentioned this earlier in the thread, but, does this mean the series could be revived on t.v. as well?
Behold, the power of dvd!

I dont think the series will be revived on television and a small part of me hopes its not. I think, if revived, it will suffer the same fate as the Simpsons and just continue on for so long that it will just go into crappy season after crappy season. Family guy had 3 great years and now, with any luck, a good direct to dvd movie. I dont want the legacy ruined by bad seasons. Just my 2 cents.

You're forgeting the critics who harpooned Family Guy when it first came on TV, saying it was too close to the Simpsons. I guess every animated family is bound to be compared to the Simpsons, but that did not make the show like the Simpsons. And I'd rather take the entire run of Family Guy over the last few seasons of Simpsons any day.
Speaking of the Family Guy critisism, what also amazes me that in all the threads bashing the show when it was on TV, those people all seemed to disappear once it got cancelled and now everybody loves it??? Where are the critics now? Where were the lovers of the show when it was langushing on the air?

I'd like to see them start making more episodes but this feature sounds good too. I just hope they don't go overboard with the musicals to fill up time. I hated the musicals.
