Movie with best & worst transfer on your TV?
Just curious which DVD you guys have which looks the best on your TV, out of all your other DVDs. For me, it would have to be Blade : Platinum Edition. Hannibal SE is a close second. Worse transfer would have to be Red Scorpion. What about you guys?

Best animated - Finding Nemo, best live-action - TTT EE.
Worst - Enigma (I had heard it had a bad transfer but it was worse than i ever could have imagined)

I've only had my Toshiba RPTV for a couple weeks and haven't gotten to play much reference material yet, but so far...
Best: XXX
Worst: Scotland, Pa.*
*This seriously deserves a cleanup and an anamorphic re-release. The current transfer is simply awful for such a great film.

I always thought both Black Hawk Down transfers were great.
The FOTR: EE has another excellent one.
Worst? Hm. . .
Showdown in Little Tokyo was pretty bad. I can't remember. Gah.

Best - Monsters Inc, Shrek, Bug's Life, Jackie Brown etc etc
By far the worst transfer I have ever seen on DVD is Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Man, it's like you're watching the actual MPEG macroblocks live - it's been compressed to death! I've seen better picture quality on streaming media off the Web
The Matrix looks very cool on my display - but then I have the Australian Region 4 which has a better transfer

I was absolutely shocked at how BAD the Boomstick Edition of Army of Darkness was. It seriously looked like a pirated cam version in many scenes.
Monsters Inc and SW: AOTC are awesome
Addendum: I believe it is especially useful to know exactly what TV these DVD look best or worse on.
my TV: Samsung 50" DLP

The worst has to be that FINAL COUNTDOWN disc...but I don't own that one, but from what I've heard it's horrible.

Best: either Star Wars Ep 2 or FOTR:EE
Worst: either the Manhunter Director's Cut(from the first release) or Scarface. Both look like bad vhs copies and are nearly unwatchable.

Nope, Mclintock has to be the worst.
It's unbelievably BAD. WORSE than 3rd gen VHS (no kidding!)
Looks like a pirate copy recorded from a projector.
Framing is bad (it's 4:3 cut out of a 2.35:1 film, no P&S)
And the sound is WORSE than VHS linear mono!
It's worth getting a hold of a copy just for a laugh!

I'm not sure about the best as I have so many excellent ones.
The worst: They Call Me Trinity--Not just muddy and bad, but Pan and Scan to boot. One of my many disappointing overstock.com purchases. I haven't seen Mclintock, but I have to believe this transfer rivals it for awfulness.
