Anyone purchase the MA-1520 DVD wall storage unit?

It says ot holds 680 DVDs. Allmutimediastorage is selling it for $249 shipped. Anyone have this? How is the quality? It is a big unit and I am kind of worried about it looking too big. Any other opinions or options for a mass storage wall?

I actually just ordered two of them from TheJungles (http://thejungles.com/mulwal15.html) $225, but shipping isn't included yet.

Should get here in a week or so.... they're coming UPS Ground all the way across the country.

What have you been using to store your collection?

I have one of those, in oak and black. I bought it about three years ago, for $315 shipped. The site I bought it from says it holds 920 DVDs, but I don't see how that's possible. The way I have mine set up, there are 26 shelves, which each hold about 28 DVDs, for a total of 728. I also have some along the top. (You can see a semi-recent pic here) As for the quality, no real complaints, but we had to finish drilling the holes on one of the sides because they weren't drilled through all the way, and the backing has come loose in a few places. But generally, I've been very happy with it.

Your pic sold me on the unit. It does not look nearly as intimidating in a real life setting.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics, would you? I'd be curious to see what it looks like.

Thanks,

Dan

sorry to say...no pics. the new home will be finished by the first snow...with any luck....and my current set-up will be nothing more than a memory. my new home theater room will also feature a walk-in room for my collection. it's a room, like now, which will remain locked and secure. I'll be posting those pics including my dream widescreen after christmas....fingers crossed. right now my vault is nothing more than a large sized walk-in closet with shelves added directly to the wall. nothing special...I just needed room in a hurry...extra thanks to the wife. we will be moved out before I fill it up....

I think you have to remove the teddy bears to get full use of the entire shelf.
