Sherlock Holmes collection is the Basil Rathborne films

It's a collection of films made in Canada.

Am I the only one who didn't know this?

Link? Referral? Clues? Where did you see this? Do you mean to say that the collection is available from a Canadian distributor - because the Basil Rathbone films were not made in Canada?

Even Sherlock Holmes needed a few clues.....

Artisan just released a 2 disc set of the four made for TV Holmes films that aired on the Hallmark Channel with Matt Frewer. It contains HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES, THE SIGN OF FOUR, THE ROYAL SCANDAL and THE WHITECHAPEL VAMPIRE. It's called THE SHERLOCK HOLMES COLLECTION and I got it at Best Buy for $14.99.

Could this be what he means?

MPI has many of the Rathbone films due out soon as well.

I think this is what he's talking about (although, admitedly, the post is a little confusing). MPI is based in Canada, so maybe that's what he's talking about. ???

Anyway, here's the appropriate thread for the MPI collections:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=307109

They have a set of 4 coming in October, another set of 4 coming in November, and (presumably) more sets on the way...

Was that the original title I had for the thread?
Was it edited?
Was I drunk when I wrote it?

I was confused by Artisan's release of the Canadian tv show. I didn't realize if two different sets of Sherlock Holmes were coming out at the same time. It appears that there are.
