if I understand your post correctly...are you asking why they have so many copies of this movie.... if you are then I think it's quite obvious. It won Best Picture and made quite a bit of money in theatres. That seems like a reasonable amount for them to have

Um, well, I can't tell what tone of voice you are taking, but I am gonna go with the fact that it's an Oscar-winner w/ a female-magnet and two fairly attractive women. Jim Bob's wife will rent it (albeit in full-frame) b/c Erma Jean told her it was good. Casual film fans will rent it b/c it was popular (and they didn't want to fight the crowds in theaters). Little old ladies will rent it b/c they saw the Broadway show a long time ago and they missed "the moving picture at the movie house". And, of course, there are those who will rent just because they wanna fight back against Michael Moore's rental numbers.

That is probably why there were so many copies at Blockbuster.

Dumpster diving is great. Used to do it for plenty of comp stores. I could write a book about it. As for the tons of Chicago inserts. It's a new release. the stores must have gotten plenty of shipments of this and hell, when I worked at blockbuster we just tossed a lot of the materials of the new releases. best days to really go dumpster diving is the week before since normally blockbusters get the films and prep them by that thursday before.

I actually asked BBV employees for the empty cases they throw away. They point blank refused me but encouraged me to dumpster dive. Whether I did or not, I will not say. But I won't be buying any Amaray cases anytime soon.

If you're disabled and confined to a wheelchair, how did you get into the Dumpster?

Or perhaps an even more advanced prototype!

Back on topic:

Are inserts worth the trouble of going through the dumpster for? I feel that...no they are not.
