Need help with Nightmare on Elm Street set bonus disc.

I just got this set today (absolutely love it), and I need a website or something that lists the time codes of all the features hidden in the "labyrinth" on the bonus disc. I'd love to see everything on there, but I really don't feel like going through the entire maze. Plus I don't want to miss anything. Thanks.

Here's what I found from DVDProfiler:

First, go to the Labyrinth. Second, go to a place that has a locker in [it is one of the first things you can go to]. Grab a key and then get out of the place with the lockers. Third, go to the place with a locked cabinet type thing and get close to it until you can turn left. When you turn, go to where you see a locked door. Click on the lock [this will work if you have the key] then get out of a place that has Freddy stuff and the place with clocks and then you should see a door. Get close to it and the type in 20

----
Go to the menu, highlight "Index." Press down to highlight the "New Line Cinema Logo" and press enter to access the hidden developer credits. In the Developer Credits, highlight "Belief" and press enter. On the next screen, to the left you will see a list of names. To the right, you will see a picture of a circle with the word "belief" written in it. Under this picture, you will see an arrow pointing right. Highlight the arrow and press "up". You will be shown pictures of the crew of Belief, all wearing Freddy Krueger gloves.

----
Enter the Labyrinth. You'll be on the screen with the blinking "?". Wait 30 seconds and Freddy Krueger will run out of a door on the left, stand in the middle of the hall, and run into the next doorway on the right where you will begin to hear screaming.
Here's the remainder (?) from DVDReview.com:

If you go through the Labyrinth to discover all the bits and pieces of information New Line has placed there, you will eventually end up in front of a locked fire door. Upon activation a series if diamond shapes can be selected in the glass pane of the door. Opening this door is not trivial though, even when trying with all sorts of combinations. Here is how to do it. Select '20' from you remote control. On a Toshiba player you can achieve this by hitting the '+10' key twice and then the zero key. Once you have done this you will get to see the film's second alternate ending, the one Wes Craven had originally planned for the film.

There was a site here: http://www.rexer.com/tripps/nse/nsefaq.txt
but the link doesn't seem to be working anymore. It was 29 pages of text about navigating the labyrinth. Glad I printed it out.
Almost everthing is rather easy to figure out, and fun too, so enjoy it as a game without having to cheat, lol.
The fire exit though, as far as I know, no one has ever been able to figure out (the door with the 12 selectable diamonds) except you can get it to work by pressing "20" on your dvd remote and hitting enter. IIRC, this plays one of the alternate endings.

You might be able to find links to other info sites by doing a search. This topic has come up a few times in the past.

-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

Q. What is the Nightmare Series Encyclopedia?

A. The Nightmare Series Encyclopedia (NSE) is a bonus DVD in the
Nightmare on Elm Street Collection. This boxed set boasts beautiful
anamorphic transfers of all seven Elm Street films. Rather than
adding trailers, outtakes, and other supplements to each of the seven
movie DVDs, New Line decided collect all of their extra material on
an eigth disc. The result of this decision was the NSE. The Elm
Street boxed set is the only way to get the NSE.

Q. What's on the NSE?

A. The NSE contains interviews with the cast and crew of the Elm
Street movies, "Krueger Quips" from the set of Elm Street 5, snippets
from Freddy's appearances on MTV, music videos from the films, still
galleries, alternate endings to Elm Street 1, and trailers for all
seven movies. In all, there are 93 video clips and 3 still galleries
on the disc adding up to more than 3.5 hours of material.

Q. How is the NSE organized?

A. The NSE is split into three sections: Primetime, Labyrinth, and
Index.

Primetime contains the featurette "Welcome to Primetime." "Welcome
to Primetime" is the only self-contained documentary on the disc.
There are 10 interviews and 1 alternate ending to Elm Street 1 in
Primetime.

Labyrinth is an interactive DVD game. As you make your way through a
maze you are rewarded with video clips and still galleries. There
are 79 hidden videos and 3 hidden still galleries in the Labyrinth,
including 31 videos and 3 still galleries that are exclusive to this
section of the NSE. See the "Labyrinth Walkthru" section for more
information.

Index is divided into eight sections: Elm Street 1-7 and Conclusions.
There are 62 video clips in the Index, including everything that is
contained in Primetime. All of the videos are sorted into their
appropriate sections.

Q. What's the difference between the three Elm Street 1 endings?

A. Movie Ending: Freddy convertible, Freddy grabs Marge.
Alt Ending 1: Normal convertible, Freddy grabs Marge.
Alt Ending 2: Normal convertible, Marge survives.

Q. Can I watch the Labyrinth movies without playing the game?

A. Yes, but only if your DVD player allows you to skip directly to
specific titles and chapters. For example, if you skip to chapter
505 of title 1, you'll watch the 2nd alternate ending to Elm Street
1.

The NSE is split into 11 Titles. Title 1 contains everything in the
Labyrinth. In addition to video clips, you can find each of the
Labyrinth's rooms in Title 1. Title 2 contains all of the Index
video clips. Title 3 contains the Primetime video clips. Title 4
contains the credits for the DVD. Titles 5-11 each contain a trailer
for one of the films. See the "Chapter Index" for a listing of the
title and chapter numbers of each video.

Q. How is this FAQ organized?

A. "Labyrinth Walkthru" takes you step by step through the
Labyrinth. It has solutions to every puzzle (except one; see next
Q.) and describes what to do and which videos to watch.

"Subject Index," "Chapter Index," and "Alphabetical Index" are all
guides to the 93 video clips and 3 still galleries found on this
disc.

"Subject Index" sorts the videos by subject. At the top of the index
is an alphabetical list of every interviewed person. Below this are
video clips under the headings Krueger Quips, MTV Clips, Music
Videos, Still Galleries, Endings, and Trailers. The "Subject Index"
lists the title and chapter, clip name, and length for each video.

"Chapter Index" sorts the videos by title and chapter. Title and
chapter information is given this way: 01:505 equals the 505th
chapter of title 1. "Chapter Index" lists the title and chapter,
clip name, and subject for each video.

"Alphabetical Index" sorts the videos by clip name. Any clip name
surrounded in quotation marks ("Take a Nap, Englund") does not have
an official name and was named by me. I tried to give them
appropriate names, usually by using a sentence from the clip itself
as the title. "Alphabetical Index" lists the clip name, title and
chapter, and length for each video. There is also a summary of all
the videos at the bottom of this index.

In the indices, 3-digit numbers (0:06) are minuets:seconds and 4- and
5-digit numbers are title:chapter numbers (01:505, 02:25).

Q. How do I solve the Fire Exit puzzle in the Labyrinth?

A. One method is listed in the "Labyrinth Walkthru" (screen 77), but
I don't know the "official" way to solve this puzzle. If you have
any ideas, please email me ([email protected]).

Q. Who do you want to thank?

A. Mark Relford, for telling me about the Fire Exit "20" key trick.
DVD Review (http://www.dvdreview.com) for originally discovering
this trick.
New Line, for giving Elm Street the royale DVD treatment.

| LABYRINTH WALKTHRU |
/ \
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

In the belly of 1428 Elm Street lies the Labyrinth. Filmed in an
abandoned hospital by Belief (http://www.belief.com) with sound
design by Sonic Deli, the Labyrinth is an interactive DVD supplement
that forces you to earn your bonus footage. There are 79 video clips
and 3 still galleries hidden in the Labyrinth (34 of these items are
exclusive to the Labyrinth). Can you make it through?

This walkthru is divided in 77 parts. Each part generally
corresponds to one Labyrinth screen. Each screen is organized as
such:

The first line of each screen gives you a screen number and name (01
START). These are for reference only. The screen numbers match the
optional map you can download. I've tried to name each screen
simply, but descriptively.

Download the printable Labyrinth map from

http://www.rexer.com/tripps/nse/nsemap.tif

The map will fit on one piece of paper. It's 8 x 7.75 inches (20.3 x
19.75 cm) at 150 dpi. If you don't have a very good printer, some of
the numbers will be hard to read. It was necessary to make them tiny
to fit the entire map on one page.

Below the screen number and name is the screen summary. These three
lines summarize the important parts of the screen.

MOVE tells you all of the possible moves from the screen. This is
either a direction (up) or a description of something on the screen
to select (corpse). This is always followed by a screen number in
parentheses (02) indicating which screen that move will take you to.
Some screens also have warps, which will place you in a distant part
of the Labyrinth. Two-digit numbers (02) are always screen numbers.

PUZ tells you how to solve a screen's puzzle. There are three PUZ
commands: take, use, and select. Take and use apply to the three
inventory items you can find. Select applies to non-inventory
related puzzles on a screen.

VID lists how many videos are present in a screen and what their
chapter numbers are (1 - [364]). Three-digit numbers (505) are
always video chapter numbers. All videos in the Labyrinth can be
found under title 1 of the NSE.

Below the screen summary is a written description of exactly what to
do and where to move.

PUZ : none
VID : none

"Explore the Labyrinth to reveal interviews, rare photos, and more.
You will need to find special objects and solve puzzles to gain full

disastrous."

You will be sent back to Start every time you make a mistake solving
one of the Labyrinth's puzzles (in 16, 25, or 49). Selecting the "?"
in the lower corner of the screen will show you your inventory. As
there are only three items to carry in the game, this is mostly
unnecessary unless you happen to find yourself back here.

If there is a special order in which you select these diamonds, I
haven't discovered it yet.

I think the ENCYCLOPEDIA is my favorite bonus disk of any DVD. When I first got the set, I stayed up until about 4AM, working my way through the labyrinth. I did almost all of it on my own, without any "helpful hints." Finally the fire-door did me in and I downloaded the cheat codes the next day to finish off the hunt.

BTW, there are many, MANY websites out there with various hints for the encyclopedia. Do a Google search on "NIGHTMARE ENCYCLOPEDIA DVD" and you'll pull them up. I downloaded another one just the other day, as it had run-times for each of the clips.

I assume that you haven't seen part 6 yet? Keep 'em handy while watching that one.

You can choose to watch the ending of Freddy's Dead in 3D (as was shown in theaters) or in a regular flat version.

me too, lol, it was actually a little scary doing it in the dark, alone, at 4am. I had a blast. I recommend figuring out the puzzles on your own and not using a cheat guide....it was a lot of fun. I only went searching online for guides when I couldn't figure out the fire door.
