Just wait for the American Wedding DVD. All of the content on the Crust discs is supposed to be available as part of a massive documentary about all three Pie movies that will be featured as an extra on the Wedding DVD.

Actually I think its more than a rumor, granted there hasn't been a release announcement from the studio yet, but in the intro on the Beneath the Crust discs they say all the stuff is gonna be on the American Wedding release.

My local Movie Gallery actually have them on the shelves to rent. See if you can rent them somewhere & that way you can see if they are really worth it.

Many people rarely watch DVD extras more than once. I am in that camp but it depends on you.

I really like extras, but there are just too many DVDs that I want to watch to take up my time with extras. I haven't watched hardly any extras in the last few years. Only two or three commentaries.

I wouldn't call it anything past a rumor till it's announced. When recording they could have had that in the plans and of course, any plan can change so I wouldn't call it official anytime soon.

At my local Movie Gallery, you can rent these out. Might want to give it a shot if you have a "rent one get one free" coupon or something...

I've rented both of them & while they are somewhat interesting I don't think they have very much of a re-watchability. If you own the original CE of each film then I would say don't worry about picking up these "fluff" peices, they are only 30 mins long anyways.

They showed some of the footage on FX when they aired American Pie as part of their "DVD on TV" series. Interesting stuff, but nothing to get too worked up over unless you're some sort of American Pie superfan.

Both Beneath the Crust's and the 3rd part of it are going to be on the American Wedding disc.

Let's just call it a well-informed rumor then. So I wouldn't go looking for the Beneath the Crust dvds until the specs have been released for American Wedding.

I see no reason to rush out and buy these. They have milked this franchise with DVD releases since day one and I expect the same to happen when 'American Wedding' makes it debut on DVD (which I assume will be fairly fast).. Infact, I expect all three films to get a box set / re-release (update) once 'American Wedding' makes it intial run on DVD.

exactly livinginclip. the whole unrated, ultimate edition and now with this version out again. I think it's safe to say this is a series you should wait and see on getting the better version.

I enjoyed watching both of the Beaneath the Crust DVDs, and I liked all 3 movies. I would recommend that anyone that has any self-restraint (which I am clearly lacking) just wait for the referenced full version (3 hours+) when American Wedding hits DVD. I can't imagine anyone that liked the movies would not enjoy these also.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Universal will try to pull a "Red Dragon" move and offer an American Wedding SE (without) and CE (With) the Crust special. That is a completely uninformed statement, but I think Universal would like to elevate the MSRP when they provide additional content (above the standard fare) to their DVD releases. We'll see...
