LivingInClip: Out of curiosity, that white cover was exclusive to a particular UK chain, wasn't it? I was thinking about ordering the SE, but everyone has the black cover... I like the white one so much more, though!

Wait, I'm confused. I never saw a clear answer: Is it a better/fixed transfer in R1, or isn't it?

Thanks,

- Bob P.

I was also wondering the same thing as I thought the white cover was much better looking.

I love the R2 cover best. Glad to hear about the price drop as this is one I've been wanting for quite some time.

THE REGION ONE PIONEER RELEASES, EVEN THE NEW ONE WHICH THEY CLAIM IS REMASTERED AND NEW, ARE NOT ANAMORPHIC AND THE TRANSFER IS NOT VERY GOOD IN THE FIRST PLACE. THIS FILM DOES NOT EXIST IN A GOOD-LOOKING ANAMORPHIC RELEASE ANYWHERE. STUDIOS ARE, FOR SOME ODD REASON, RELUCTANT TO MAKE ANAMORPHIC RELEASES OF 1.66:1 FILMS. THE ONLY ANAMORPHIC RELEASE OF THIS FILM IS THE AUSTRALIAN PAL R4, WHICH LOOKS WORSE THAN THE NONANAMORPHIC VERSIONS!
Clear?
