I imagine these will be about as well-attended as the "Smell the Glove" signings.

We never get any 'real' celeb ect signings here it seems. So this is great news for me.

i hope alot of people ask him directly why this isnt uncut, and i hope he answers honestly and directly, not this "it doesnt exist" ********. he always struck me as a standup honest guy, and even though i dont care for his music, i respected that. but this is just a load of crap. say Lions Gate doesnt want to pay, say you dont want to work on the deleted scenes, say you or LG just wants to double dip when the sequel is released, but get off the "it doesnt exist" platform, he just looks stupid. he waits years to get it released theatrical, sticking to his guns, and then rolls over and takes it up the ass on the DVD, where uncut and deleted scenes as at least supplemental material are commonplace. Rob, the footage exists, i have it, alot of people have it, try again.

I hate to turn this into a request thread, but can someone help a brother out? I'm in Syracuse, so there's no way I can make it to any of the signings, but I'd LOVE a signed copy.

I'm a big Zombie fan, and dug 1000 Corpses so much I saw it twice in the theater (it was the dollar theater, but nevertheless...). Thanks!

Poor Rob! I think it's kinda brave for him to do this, since he must know just about every single person who would be at a thing like this is gonna ask him about the "uncut" version. How much you wanna bet there's gonna be posters up in the store with his official platform on the matter.

Got mine signed!!!

I just got back from Best Buy with my autographed copies of the dvd & am as giddy as a school-girl.

I had to wait 2 hours + a small 5 minute break before finally getting it signed. The line was long as hell.

Another cool part was just as i was next in line. Rob told me "5 minutes promise!" & gave me the thumbs up noticing my Evil Dead shirt(with awsome graphic of Ash on the front). He & Sherri had to take a quick break, since there arms were aching after 2+ hours of non-stop signing.

It was funny also. The entire time while waiting. I was calm & cool as if it were no big deal. This was the first time getting a autograph btw..& by the time i was next in line, then the 5 minute wait. I was shaking, felt like i was about to collapse..& was just all giddy inside with enthusiasm..& not sure what to say or how to act when i get them signed.

When they came back out. He got seated..& waved me over. I said "Hi Rob,how are you?"..& he said "I'm fine thanks"...then i said "I just need one for myself..& another for a friend who could'nt make it"..& he said "Thats cool, glad to help out" signed, then slid the copy over to Sherri, who was really smiling & sexy said "Hello"..& i said "Hi" then lost my frame of thought as i could not believe i was this close to this hot ass woman. Robs one lucky guy. btw..her voice sounded natural as can be. So all the people thinking her voice like in the film is that way are wrong. Thats just an act to go with her charecter. As Rob was signing my friends copy..& was sliding it over to Sherri. I just said "The movie was excellent"...& Rob was surprised to hear this compliment. Since many other people either haven't seen the film yet(from what ppl were talking about in line on missing it in theaters) + plenty of ebay junkies looking to cash in on this. Anyway he then smiled & said happily "Thank you!" & shook my hand. Then i said goodbye to Sherri, shook her hand..& she said "Have fun!"...& i walked away smiling, couldn't believe i actually got to see Rob & Sherri in person + get some autographs.

Too cool for words. Though i wish i had a camera in order to get a picture taken with them. The clerks at the store got there info wrong & told people "No pictures!"...so many put the cameras back in their cars. Meanwhile the people who still had cameras on then were able to get photos taken!

Now so far Michelle seems to have disappeared. She wanted to go along. Said if she had to work today, she would call in sick. So i waited & waited. The signing started at 4pm..& it was 2:30. Still no word from Michelle. So i waited until 3pm,then decided to leave & pick up a extra copy for her. The least i can do. Still no word from her after i got home & left a message. Not sure whats up.

Oh as for the packaging. Yeah that sticker sucks. Yet i thankfully only had the bare minimum of the box peel off with it. Mostly the quote from Tobe Hooper on the back. Meanwhile everyone else ripped off huge chunks of the cover & back!

Well i heard from Michelle, she was at work, though happy as hell that i picked her up a copy.

She did have a pretty good idea for why Rob may have chose the 3 cities he did for signings.

They may be the ones that the film played best in. I remember my screening on opening night(midnight showing) had the audience literally cheering with applause when it was over, then raving to friends ect about it. Which is something i have never seen happen before anyway with all the films, including the big ones i've seen in theaters over the years.

Julie Walker - you have a Petition for a uncut CRUISING SE DVD signature line and you didnt even ask Zombie about whats going on with the uncut version of 1000 Corpses when you had the man face to face?? if he was in my city i would have bought the present DVD just to have the chance to ask.

Well i'm sure he was asked that to death anyway..& i was so nervous. I did not know what to say.

Now upon further observation. It appears the dvd is heavily cut, meanwhile the uncut or close to uncut version played in theaters!!

It's strange since many things i remember seeing in theaters is not on the dvd at all. Then things that were obviouslly edited in theaters, seem to be intact on the dvd(namely the opening sequence).

The film i saw in theaters was very gruesome with skinnings, nasty operations, plenty of upclose torture footage from being sliced with a knife/scalped(Otis does this to Jerry at one point,it's not on the dvd though!) ect. If the people who claim the film was not gory at all,saw the version i did. Then they must be to picky, since it was gruesome. Meanwhile the dvd version is not really all that gruesome at all, besides a few brief moments.

So that is very disappointing despite it being a good movie. Yet something didn't seem right as i watched it.

So basically the dvd is the real R rated version truely butchured in the extreme. Even if the theatrical version was not the real uncut version. It did at least include some addiotional gruesome footage nowhere to be found on the dvd.

Another reason why the uncut version better be released when the sequel comes out!!

At the San Diego Comic-Con last month, during the panel for House of 1000 Corpses, someone asked her for do her laugh. At first she refused because she has to really get into it but after much prodding, she gave it a good shot. Wasn't the greatest, but sure made the crowd happy and we gave her a nice round of applause for being a trooper.
