Incredible Hulk TV show on DVD----GREAT news!

This is from TVShowsonDVD.com:

Universal Home Video will release "The Incredible Hulk: The Television Series Ultimate Collection" on October 21. This 6 disc set carries a suggested retail price of $69.98 and will contain mono audio with English, French and Spanish subtitles. Each disc contains a theme:
Disc 1: The Search for a Cure (136 mins)
Disc 2: The Race Against Time (147 mins)
Disc 3: The Legend of The Incredible Hulk (146 mins)
Disc 4: The Jack McGee Files (145 mins)
Disc 5: The Beast Within (145 mins)
Disc 6: The Hidden Powers of The Incredible Hulk (146 mins)
It appears that each disc will contain 3 episodes, but an episode list wasn't available. We'll keep you posted if we find anything out.

I was REALLY in hopes for complete seasons....but this is better than nothing!

I'd expected some kind of cross-promotion as the movie drew near it's DVD release. It was only logical seeing the way that the pimped the hell out of the TV show right before june and the way the PAL discs were suddenly pulled from the market. I was hoping for season sets too - but this will have to do.

I wonder if there will be any episode overlap with the 3 OOP UK discs.

What the heck is that... they aren't releasing them in order or as in season sets?????

geez.

I can't belive this.

Did anyone see the DVD they put out with the pilot and the two part (emmy award winning) Married?

What the hell kind of cover was that?

Sure, Uni is trying to cash in on what they thought would be the blockbuster of the summer movies but they are treating this show badly.

They need to do a season set and get Kenny Johnson in there to do commentaries.

Grrrr... Hulk mad. Hulk smash.

I don't think I'm getting this set. I would have been all over a season 1 collection... but a 'best of' set? Unless the extras are jaw-dropping, I'll pass.

Universal just seems completely clueless about how to release DVDs, don't they?

It's the only thing available. I guess later on they might come out with season sets. I was going to try and buy the R2 dvds which are oop, but this way I won't have to pay outrageous prices and waste a lot of time trying to find them. I'm happy with a best of. I only have the pilot and the married dvd, so anything will be welcome.

Damn, those are some great episodes. Argggh... why oh why couldn't they just do season boxes?

Here's the breakdown by Season for both the UK discs and the R1 discs. Out of the 86 episodes from the series, 36 will be (or currently are) on disc. Add in the pilot and the 3 movies, and we're living large.

Disc 1
S2-16 - Rainbow's End
S2-18 - Another Path
S2-29 - The Disciple

Disc 2
S1-07 - 747
S1-02 - Death in the Family Part 1
S1-02 - Death in the Family Part 2

Quick aside here - The Death in the Family 2 parter was originally the 2 hour movie kick off of the main series. Why then include them on disc 2 towards the end. Of course if logic was figuring into the release, they'd just do a season set and be done with it.

Disc 3
S4-69 - The First Part 1
S4-70 - The First Part 2
S2-31 - Kindred Spirits

Disc 4
S2-21 - Stop the Presses
S2-27 - Mystery Man Part 1
S2-28 - Mystery Man Part 2

Disc 5
S3-52 - The Psychic
S4-58 - Prometheus Part 1
S4-59 - Prometheus Part 2

Disc 6
S4-61 - Dark Side
S4-62 - Deep Shock
S4-74 - The Harder They Fall

UK Disc 1
S2-24 - Solitary Place
S2-25 - Like a Brother
S2-26 - Haunted

UK Disc 2
S1-09 - Never Give a Trucker an Even Break
S1-10 - Life and Death
S2-15 - Ricky

UK Disc 3
S2-16 - Rainbow's End
S2-14 - The Antowuk Horror
S2-22 - Escape From Los Santos

DAMN, those episodes are all over the place. Granted they didn't do any story arcs but there were some things that carried over or changed. And some of them are FAR from the best episodes of the show.

Here's an example: THE FIRST. At this point it's been over 4 years Banner has been looking for the cure and many times it was within his grasp and it failed or was snatched away.

How can you take the scene where the first creature destroys the cure and banner breaks into tears-- and put it in with episodes from season 2??????

I'm pretty damn sure Ken Johnson didn't have anything to do with selecting these volumes.

This is a stupid way of getting the show on DVD. I'm annoyed.

LOL!! wow, I can't believe someone paid 94.00 for 2 episodes (great eps, I agree) of the show--- wow, I think Sciffy is showing it now. I should tape some off that and sell them.

Is the episode with Banner in bandages and Jack McGee on the run together in this set?

that was in season two and a 2-parter called "MYSTERY MAN". It's the episode where McGee finds out that the creature is really a man that turns into it.
