Dances With Wolves: Is this is a cheap case design or what...
I'm not sure why we couldn't get a case like Pearl Harbor 60th Anniversary. It was 2 DVDs as well. But no, we have a standard 2-DVD case, and wrapped around it, is a pathetic paper velcro attachment, made to look like a "real" western-style book. Please. After opening this "tab" a few times, it could easily tear. More than likely, I'm just going to throw the paper covering out with my next trash pick-up, and just use the normal 2-DVD case as it is.

I like the fact that it is in a slim double. Buy I do agree about the outer sleeve. I just did what I always do with these sleeves or tins, I just store those away in a box so they don't get FUBAR'd

Sorry, I just don't understand you people who keep these things in the closet forever! My Dances With Wolves cheap cardboard was warped and looked like crap after 1 week in this high humidity here. I just threw it away. I mean, my reason for collecting DVDs is to watch them. It's not like a stamp collection, where the item is valueless if you were to modify it. Do these same people refuse to replace snapper covers too??? Or do this type of people replace the snapper covers, but then keep them in a box in the closet, JUST IN CASE the DVD someday becomes wirth $1,000 so that they can put it back in the original box and sell it???
Like I said, my collection is for me to WATCH, not to sell, or to try and profit from in some way other than my enjoyment!

Yeah, if buying something used, it is easier to swallow if the item is original, complete, and in excellent shape. It just means that the previous owner took good care of the item, and you will more likely be satisfied with it.
