It'll probably be like the standard xXx release with decent extras, maybe a 2-disc set with no DTS. You know they'll save that for the Superbit release.

Man, would I love to hear a Bay/Smith/Lawrence commentary...

Bay's solo commentary was pretty good on BB1.. minus the few dead spots here and there. I'm wonder how much creative input Smith and Lawerence would have, but I imagine they're pretty close to these characters so would be cool to hear.

I'm surprised that there isn't a Bay commentary on this. He is usually good about providing one. Perhaps the Superbit?

BB2 was considered Bay's first underperformer and caused him to leave his agency. Plus the reviews were truly vicious. Maybe he just said "f- it!" and decided not to talk about this one. Too bad, as it's my favourite Bay movie and I think there may be things for him to talk about here. I would have liked to hear him talk about the decision to make the film seem like a giant homage to every kind of significant action film made since the 1980s.

I'm definitely picking this one up!

Also will be picking this up. One of my fav films of the year next to T3, Pirates and Matrix Reloaded. Now I'm just hoping that Bay will finish it of and do Bad Boys 3. Lawrence and Smith said they will do one but I doubt it'll happen without Bay.

Still.. that is one fine looking cover.

Hehe.. depends, you like over-the-top explosion movies with lots of comedy? Then yes.

Love the cover, but I'm disappointed there's no commentary track. Guess I'll just have to wait for the Criterion Collection set to come out.
