Daredevil, keep or ebay?

At suncoast they had a special offer where if you buy Daredevil you get Batman: The movie for free. So I went for it. But with the DC of Daredevil that will probably come out just before Daredevil 2, maybe I should get rid of my sealed copy of Daredevil while it’s a hot thing.

Damn all this double dipping :/

keep it, watch it, if you like it, sell it off right before the dc comes out, and if you hate it, sell it imidatly, there's nothing worse then a crappy dvd on your shelf.

Always keep. Even if there is a DC of Daredevil... you'd still want to own the theatrical version.

I've actually seen it already and I do like it, but I'd love the DC a lot more.

Hard to get rid of a brand new set. Looks like it's going for about 10 bones on eBay...

Also hope you didn't get sucked into the high prices from SunCoast, Batman by itself is like 10 at Walmart...

Can I come over to your house tomorrow and take a dump on your living room floor, preferably while you and your family are having dinner?

I'll believe they're actually doing a director's cut when I see the official studio announcement. Until then it's just rumor and scuttlebutt (and yes, I know the director has been saying he'll do one, but he ain't putting up the $$$ to do it I imagine). I'm still waiting for the "2 1/2 hour X-Men Director's Cut" everyone was so certain was coming a few years' back, too....

I don't see a director's cut for another year, maybe more since we might have to wait until Elektra comes out. I'm sure the current dvd will suit you just fine until then.

So many opinions on this one... I enjoyed DD more than any other "superhero" movie of the past few years.. More than Spidey..more than X-Men. (I skipped the Hulk.) Go figure...

I plan to keep both... Although the "PG-13" version is pretty rough as is, the R will be too much for my kids, so they'll still be watching the first edition if/when the DC comes out for me.

The extras on the disc are great. I wonder if they'll keep the same ones on the DC? If not...more of a reason to not sell it.

Isn't the pg13 version even a little much for kids, maybe not teens but kids, I'd supervise over it. I mean I'm amazed the mpaa let
Spoiler:
Elektra get a dagger in the hand, I mean sure, no blood, but still, its still a bit grusome

Word. While I thought the movie was just ok, the hour long segment interviewing many of the comic book creators was worth the purchase price for me. I'm planning on watching the movie tonight with commentary. I hope it is good so that I can feel even better about my purchase.

I bought this through CH and haven't watched it yet, but I plan to keep it since I'm a big fan of Marvel comics. I didn't see this in the theatre though (hardly have time to go to the movies nowadays). I was rewatching the trailer today though, and did my eyes deceive me or was Daredevil floating from roof top to roof top? ..and if so,...what is up with that?

Since when? On none of my comics was he ever able to float. His powers are highten senses, but no power of flight/glide/float.

I'd at least listen to MSJ's commentary before you got rid of it.

Or it could be that the crew was proud of the fact that they could have a hong kong kung fu expert on set and used lots of wire removal. When you see the flick, many of the other characters float in the air at some point.

Found a great "comic book to movie" article and it mentions the whole Daredevil floating thing. Here is the link if anyone is interested:

Comics in Context #1: Comics Movies and Their Critics
http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/427/427649p1.html

Here is a quote from that article:

"(And by the way, the real answer about Daredevil's leaps, as Elvis Mitchell notes in his New York Times review, which does not condescend, is that Daredevil simply can't move about like Spider-Man and the film made a mistake.)"
