Don't know how you can tolerate them changing the soundtrack in the US. It's totally unrealistic watching the English going around saying 'soccer'. No-one uses that word in the UK.

No doubt FIFA will be changing their name to FISA soon too...

Now that reviews have started showing up for this, can anyone confirm whether they call it "football" or "soccer"?

The trailer was dubbed, but when I saw it in the theater last month they were always saying football. Is this just a reaction to what was in the trailer, or prints that were changed that played at other U.S. theaters?

It's highly doubtful that the dvd would be a "soccer" version.

As far as I know, the DVD will use the original UK soundtrack.

The movie theater I work at showed the film with the US soundtrack.

Is there anyone out there who has watched the DVD who can verify this?

one of the reviewers mentioned that it is the uk version

for those who saw the us version, did uk slang get cut as well, or just the word "football"

I saw Bend It the first week it was released in the art houses before the mainstream cross over, and I am positive they used football.
