Can someone please post a list of all current (and soon to be released) Superbit DVDs titles? Or point me to a link?

Thanks!

Thank you. Should have known to put dvd in the path. www.superbit.com didn't work.

Kind of a strange (small) list. "The Big Hit"? "Snatch"? "Anaconda"!? I would have through more special effects heavy movies would have been on the list. Of all the titles, which one's are the best?

I'm hoping that Columbia sees fit to release a Superbit of Mike Nichols' Wolf sometime...

And I probably posted this about the time Bill posted his:

Superbits are not chosen for their quality of movie, they're chosen for their quality of transfer. That is, they take existing transfers that already look good, and will benefit from the improved bit-budget. That's why the movies run the gamut from Anaconda to the upcoming Lawrence of Arabia.

Remember, Superbit is not a new codec, it's just a methodology. The ability to devote an entire DVD to the movie only is within the DVD spec, but Columbia Tristar is the only studio to thus far utilize it as a form of managing quality.

If you're looking for quality of film and transfer I would suggest...

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Das Boot
Gattaca

They are excellent.

Adaptation and Punch-Drunk Love are also excellent films but I haven't checked the bit rate on those to determine if they are "true" Superbits or not... See Panic Room.

On the horizon, Lawrence of Arabia is a no-brainer.

Other than those, and possibly FFC's Dracula and Men In Black, I would agree that the list of films in this line are pretty suspect.

I would also recommend Snatch if you don't already own the previous 2 disc edition.

I should also say the only one I own is FFC Dracula since I have the LD for the extras.

I'll be getting the Lawrence to replace my LD and I would love to see a Jumanji one since the current "special edition" only has a boring FX crew commentary.

Seriously, I'm the kind of geek that would enjoy that, but I didn't

I am looking at purchasing the Snatch: Superbit DVD. Does this disc have the same special features as the regular 2-Disc Dvd? Thanks...

I think it has everything except the commentary track (which was left off of disc 1 to make more room for audio/video).

How was that commentary track though? Good? I only own the SuperBit, but wondering what I'm missing out on with the commentary track.
