Upcoming "Monty Python...Holy Grail" --- Same Disc or Not?

I understand on 9/16 there will be a Collector's Edition of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." But from what I have read so far, it seems to only offer new packaging, a film cell and some sort of booklet. As far as the transfer goes, I am under the impression that it's the same as the Special Edition released just a year or so ago. However, I thought I read somewhere (possibly here) that there will be some minor tweaking of the transfer; mainly corrections of some subtitles and something to do with the opening credit sequence. Anyone have definite info on what's involved with this upcoming re-release? I hate to spend over $30 on the exact same disc.

There is a single subtitle missing from the opening credits. Columbia has not indicated that the new release will correct this. It's pretty much guaranteed to be the same discs as before, but nothing will be known definitively until it gets released and someone buys it and reports back to us.

According to what's been released by Columbia, this should be the same set in a new package with a paper copy of the script included.

So the new packaging and the copy of the script cost $49.99 MSRP?! No thanks. I think I'll get the SE instead.

That's what I thought. I have the SE, which has a wonderful transfer and all kinds of cool extras. If the CE had additional extras, or if it were a new transfer, I would buy it. But if the only differences are, as you say, a copy of the script and new packaging, then I'll stay with what I've got.

Thanks for the reply.
