Ultimate Vacation Box Set!
Straight form DVDFile:
That sounds great to me! I'll definitley be getting this but i'm going to have to REALLY fight my urges not to buy Vacation SE and Christmas Vacation SE when they're released. The box isn't anything special but it'd be nice to have all 4 in one nice collection. Maybe this means no more snappers for all 4? Lets hope so.
I'm also wondering what's up with Vegas Vacation. We get the new transfer, which is great, but no extras. That's too bad. So no SE for Vegas Vacation eh? Oh well. I'll be happy with my Vacation SE and Christmas Vacation SE.
Rounding out this week's news, it's good news for fans of that kooky Griswold clan. Just in time for the holidays, the family that just never learns not to take a vacation is getting their own gift set. Featuring all four of the much-beloved National Lampoon flicks - Vacation, European Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation - The Ultimate Vacation Collection features all of the new special edition versions as well as a remastered edition of Vegas Vacation in anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround (there are no new extras.) The set will be available on September 9th and retails for $59.95, and all of the four Vacation flicks will also be available separately for $19.95 a pop, including the Vegas adventure.

DDD and DVDPLANET have this up for preorder with DDD being the cheapest($44.05) once shipping is figured with DVDPLANET. Dvdempire has this also at $47.24 or so.....

That September 9th release date doesn't sound right. A month before the separate Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation DVDs come out? DVDEmpire and DVDPlanet both have the release date for the 4-pack listed as October 7th.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. Doesn't the SE of Christmas Vacation come out on October 7th?
That's kind of odd to have it that way, but it may be true, to get people to only buy the box set when they only want Christmas Vacation, then throw the boom of having them released alone.
Oh, well. I'll be buying this awesome box set!
