Any News On Dreamcatcher?

I think it's got a release date of 9/30, but beyond that, does anyone have any information on this title? Extras, Sound, etc. ?

I'm a fan of the book but heard the movie was so bad I skipped in theaters. If these specs are correct and there's a very good deal to be had I may pick it up. The King interview would be interesting.

I really enjoyed this movie, and loved the trailer almost as much as I enjoyed the original total recall teaser! They really should use the person voicing the trailer more often.

This film was terrible. I mean, they had to make an effort to make it terrible, it was so terrible. I loved every minute of it!

I can't wait to add it to my collection.

While I agree it was terrible, I don't agree that any effort was made, at all. I was looking forward to this and was seriously let down. A shame, really. I would like to check out that Stephen King interview though. I should also probably finish reading the book. Some things just don't translate well to the big screen, and I've noticed this to be true in regards to a lot of King's work. Maybe it's just me, but the only movies I thought worked were Carrie, Stand By Me, The Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil and The Green Mile.

anyone who really must have this film to add to their DVD collection must have money to burn, this movie was a waste of my time and (movie) money. I could think of a dozen 'better' ways of throwing away 19 dollars.

I was thinking the same thing while reading the book. So much of the primary story takes place inside the characters' minds I figured there would be no way to make a movie out of it.

Still, must rent it to see how bad it really is. (Same friggin' thing happened with Battlefield Earth - Damn DVDTalk did it to me again!)

I've found that King's books usually translate better to a mini series format. Movie's just don't have enough time to develop all the plot lines needed.

This was BY FAR the worste movie of the year & absolutely one of the most horrible, mess of a movies I've ever seen in my lifetime.

I have never told anyone to stay away from a movie before, but this movie makes me feel the need to warn people to stay away from this DVD. To each their own, but it blows my mind how anyone could like this movie.

Who spends 19 dollars on one DVD?!?!? A Criterion, maybe.
