Where to find anamorphic or not?

I've had to ask a couple of times if a particular DVD release is anamorphic or not. Where do you guys go to find that out so I can stop asking stupid questions (well... at least that stupid question)?

I usually search DVD-Basen for reviews of the disc. Or you can look up the specs of the disc on sites like Amazon or DVDEmpire, but those listings aren't always accurate.

Uh... read DVD reviews. Or you can check it up at amazon.

The problem I've been running into is trying to find out on old releases that have since been re-released (like Bound for example). A lot of review sites only have reviews for the current release.

Found what I was looking for using DVD-Basen so thanks for the link!

You can search for the title in DVD Profiler's database...
the preview screen will give you the anamorphic info.

"DVD Profiler's database"

That sometimes does not work though since the info is gathered from users. I have seen a few errors myself.

I usually use the item's Amazon link to IMDB and look at the "DVD Details" section. It's not infallible, but it's quick and generally accurate.
