Nemo on Nov 4th

Hey

I just got a copy of Lion King disc 1, and the previews say Finding Nemo on Nov 4th, and Santa Clause 2 on Nov 18th, also, if anyone cares George of the jungle 2 is coming to video also.

PS, Lion king sounds and looks great!

Does it look better than Beauty & the Beast did? I was disappointed with that. Glad it sounds good. No DTS track, right?

Give us some more impressions when you get a chance. This is one of my most anticipated releases of the year.

The 5.1 seems to be more detailed than the old Laserdisc. NO dts, at least not on this disc. Picture looks great, this version seems to have been changed from the original, I am hoping that disc 2 has the original, they changed the pouncing scene in this one, and it is not nearly as good as the original.

What do you mean 'changed the pouncing scene'?

Well, there is the new "Morning Report" sequence on the Special Edition cut of the film. The 'Theatrical' Cut is on Disc 1, too.

November 4th is shaping up to be another Sept. 2. With another X-files set, Indiana Jones Trilogy and Finding Nemo all on the same day.

We will probably see this title and the Lion King for sale during the Black Friday sales. I assume this because last years sales included Beauty and the Beast and Monster's Inc.

Were there any really great sales on those titles? I can't remember anything that great for Black Friday 2002. (Now 2001, that was another story).

YES YES YES YES YES!!
106 days until the best movie of the year hits DVD!!

BTW, the date matches the one in this thread:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=292565

Which means great news for Lilo & Stitch 2 disc set!!

I will have to be buying Indy and Finding Nemo early. Easily the best movie of the year...but Indy is always first.

Why the rush to get Nemo on November 4th? Why not wait for the inevitable two-disc release?

Monsters, Inc. may have had no SE, but remember, it had nearly a year between movie and video.

What are you talking about?

it's coming out as a 2 disc version.

And Monsters Inc was a 2 disc version right from the onset as well.

I'm confused.

Also the scene that supposingly says "sex" was cut from the special edtiion version, and I highly doubt it will b3e on the theatrical cut even though it was there.

I saw it in the theater.. it wasn't cut, the dust was reanimated and I think it'd be really sad if anybody actually cared about it.

My prediction: The day this movie comes out, no matter how fantastic the DVD turns out to be, there will be a dozen threads on page 1 of this forum bitching an moaning about that scene being changed...damn Di$ney! Of course I may be wrong.
