Another Leone Epic Comes to DVD

Just when you thought there would be no more surprises this year, DVDrome.com announces the release in Germany of DUCK YOU SUCKER (aka "Todesmelodie", literally "The Song of Death") on October 20. MGM is releasing it, so who knows when or if it will become available in the US. No word on extras or which cut of the film it will be.

I'm in the minority, but I've always thought that DUCK YOU SUCKER (aka FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE) is just as good as the rest of Leone's films.

Thanks for the info. We'll see if it arrives in the U.S. soon.

Love this flick too. Saw it on TCM few years ago. Excellent music during the flashbacks. Coburn and Steiger were awesome. Really sad that they're gone now.

It will be released in the UK on the 21st of July - and it is the 150-minute version.

According to IMDB, MGM released the laserdisc. Also according to IMDB:

Runtime: 158 min / Italy:162 min (newly restored version) / USA:120 min (initial US release) / USA:138 min / USA:154 min (longer laserdisc version)

I would still buy it though but would rather have the 162 minute version but maybe thats one of those timing things.

Thanks for the information. So hopefully we'll get this one too. I have never seen it.
