I agree, it needs DTS!

Doesn't seem as though Warner Bros doesn't include DTS on
many of their discs?

Damn! The more I look at the specs the more I think its going to be dissapointing. That seems too small. What about a documentary on the 100 agent fight scene or how they did those really cool scenes with the twins?

Those specs are ass but I think it has something to do with:

• Image: Seperate 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and full screen editions

I mean, where's my commentary track? My white rabbits?

At least they devoted a special feature to the only part of the film worth watching.

Both these sites now also confirm the specs and that it will be an Amaray case:

Some points:

- Warner Bros only adds DTS when under duress from the movie's producers. As a rule, they don't believe the expense of the DTS licensing boosts sales in any significant way.

- Commentary track.... Does anyone really want another commentary as lousy as the one on the first Matrix DVD? Personally, I'm fine with this exclusion.

- The specs do seem a little slim. Some of them appear to be recycled from material already available on the Matrix Revisited and Animatrix DVDs. Very disappointing.

The official specs are going to be out tomorrow at 12:00 EST (9:00PST). WB is having an official press conference where they will announce the final specs. If these are indeed the specs as listed now, I'll wait for a box set of the trilogy. Ick.

If you look at all posts by this user, you'll see that practically every one of them link to that same site. I suspect it was discovered he works there and was banned for spamming.

Harupmh....

Where is the score-only track with commentary from the first disc? This sucks.

Why are there no deleted scenes? There was rumours of scenes being cut for pacing purposes.

I think I'll wait for a box set. There's nothing here to get too excited about.

I for one want an Audio Commentary track, deleted scenes and the "Follow the White Rabbit" feature.

The Audio Commentary and "Follow the White Rabbit" feature was included on the first Matrix DVD, so why not this one. Audio Commentary is one of the main reasons I enjoy DVD's.

How may people believe that when the last film is released on DVD, that Warner will release some sort of New Matrix Trilogy Box Set with maybe 2 Discs for each movie and new features such as new Audio Commentary tracks for each film, new documentarys, deleted scenes from each film and more?

I would say that there is an 80% chance that they will.

According to digital bits, there are still Special Features TBA, so hold your horses.

The cover art is really bad and the specs don't look very impressive.

NO DTS?!

This makes me think they will re-release this at some point in time.

It's 3:22 P.M. Central Time on Monday and so far DVD Empire, DVD Planet or DVD File has posted no info yet about this announcement. Almost 41/2 hours after the Warner Bros. Press Conferance and not one of these sites has an update.

Does anybody have a link to the actual Press Announcement about the DVD including the UPC# for each edition as well as the complete specs.

Davis DVD and Digital Bits has so far only posted what is on it from their sources.

WB doesn't do DTS for their titles...or at least not anymore.

You would think they would make an exception for one of their hottest brands.

I am very disappointed with the specs on this DVD, you'd think there would be a lot more stuff.

I think the cover art looks decent, it's consistent with the first Matrix cover.

Special edition features are lame, they all sound like recycled promotional stuff.

I was not too thrilled with this movie at the theater so if there is going to be some kind of SE, or CE I will wait. I enjoyed it, but it was definately NOT as good as the first one. It almost seemed like filler to lead us to the third and final Matrix
