Critiquing wasky seems presumptuous, but...

Best:
Solaris
Spartacus
Walkabout

Worst:
Grease (A movie I loathe...)
Joe vs. the Volcano
Scream (Any of them.)

Need: (Toughest category...)

You have several Tarkovsky films. Where's Nostalghia? Problems w/ the Fox disc?

Any of the Star Trek: The Next Generation season sets would compliment your fine ST movie collection.

You have a couple of Reese Witherspoon's films. Twilight (for reasons both crass and high brow) or Freeway would make nice additions to your list.

All in all, a really sweet collection there.

I'll evaluate Jesse, since I was skipped earlier.

Best:

Badlands
The Duellists
Walkabout

Three of the most beautifully shot films I've ever seen.

Worst: (Again, difficult)

Bedazzled
There's Something About Mary
Any Given Sunday

Need:

You have Chinatown and Five Easy Pieces. The Last Detail and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest would complete the Nicholson Hall of Fame 70's Quadrology.

You've got McCabe and Mrs. Miller and M*A*S*H. Nashville would fit well next to them.

Again, a fabulous collection.

As mentioned earlier don't have a list but i hope Toddsm66 won't mind me appraising his collection....and a very nice collection it is

Three of the good one's

Metropolis (Fritz Lang)
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea
Seven Samurai (one of my fave films so had to include it)

You've got a whole load more i could have chosen.

Three that i personally wouldn't have

My Myself & Irene
The Muppet Movie
South Park Series or film

Three to consider

Die Nibelungen - Excellent DVD from Kino though maybe not quite as impressive in terms of restoration as 'Metropolis' but still a nice companion to your other Fritz Lang disc.

Baraka - Basically you've got every genre pretty much covered but something a little different and i would certainly recommend it to anyone.

The Spaghetti Western Boxset (Blue Underground) - Notice you've a few classic type westerns and this release from Blue Underground is superb!!

Best = Leon: The Professional, 12 Monkeys, Vanilla Sky

Worst = Knockaround Guys, Legend of the Drunken Master, Ghostship

Missing = Emporer's New Groove (the best Disney in my opinion!), William Shakespear's Romeo and Juliet (You seemed to like Baz Luhrman thought you should have this one too.), When Harry met Sally... (Best romantic comedy by Meg Ryan in my opinion!) oh and The Fifth Element! (I think you would like it)

Great Collection though, I was thrilled to see stuff like Clue, Cronicles of Narnia, and those Mind's Eye DVDs, you've got cool taste. =)

BTW, this is my first post.. so be gentle! =)

SmurfyLissa:

Best:
-Without Limits (the better of the Prefontaine films)
-25th Hour
-The Game (and underrated classic)
-Waking Life

Worst:
-Seven (should get the New Line Platinum edition)
-Good Will Hunting (like Seven, needs an upgrade to the Collectors' Edition)
-The Jerk (no OAR = NO SALE )
-The New Guy

Should buy:
Other than the upgrades of Good Will Hunting and Seven...
-Open Your Eyes (Abre Los Ojos--The basis for Vanilla Sky)
-Ghostbusters
-Stand by Me
-The Terminator: SE

You have some solid "foundation" titles to build your collection on--looks like it could be good.

For "The Freak":

Looks as if we don't have too much in common regarding our DVD collections, though it seems as if you and I agree in musical tastes, so here's my two cents:

Best 3
Terminator 2 - Ultimate (Terminator 3 pales in comparison to this classic)
Donnie Darko (I saw this one several months ago and I still think about it)
Shrek (Seen it a few times and never get tired of it!)

Least 3
Unbreakable (Disappointing follow-up to Sixth Sense)
Forrest Gump
It (I like Stephen King, but with only a couple of exceptions, I don't care for much for big screen/little screen adaptations)

Recommendations
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense (Great concert film, even if you don't like the Heads)
Almost Famous- Untitled (Cool film for fans of rock & roll)
Das Boot - Superbit (Looks like you have few war/underwater adventure DVD's in your collection, so you might like this one)

Like you, I am pretty new to this game, here's the link to my collection:
