Bad CC:Spellbound 2nd printing?

I managed to wait until I found a 2nd printing of Spellbound in the stores. But my Apex-600a is giving an invalid entry trying to load the dvd. My computer and PS2 both seem to load the dvd, but it's annoying not to be able to watch it on the main TV.

Can someone send me the pressing codes from the inner ring on their copy? (Ex. DVDL-0123456A1, etc) I'm especially interested in hearing from people who have received replacements, but for completeness I'd like the info from people who still have the first printing as well...

1st printings were defective. Many players wouldn't play it. Content-wise, they are identical.

Oh, and I'll echo what vanmunchen said.

I have a first printing. The inner ring number is: DVDL-061670A1

Pum, at the end of all of the copyright information on the back of the case, at the bottom, it will say first printing or second printing and the year.

I was thinking about getting the 5 disc hitchcock criterion set. Would this have the second printing? Also, what players did it not work on?

I think you're safe getting the collection.

Here's one of the threads concerning Spellbound

I know many Toshiba owners reported problems, so that is why I waited until I found a 2nd printing.

Ok, I match vanmunchen's pressing also, but I just wanted blind confirmation. I suppose it's either all apex-600a players, or just my copy of the disc (unlikely?).

Anyone test the second pressing in an Apex?

The Criterion Hitchcock Box Set, Wrong Men And Notorious Women: Five Hitchcock Thrillers 1935-1946, that I received the week it was released contains the Second Printing of the DVD.

I have not opened the individual DVDs yet, but at the very bottom on the right hand side of the back of the DVD case, where the copyright information is printed, it states "Second printing 2002."
