Another Rate my collection thread
anyways, I know some of you don't like these threads which is fine, if you don't want to rate it, no problem.
For those that do, What do you think? I know a lot of these films are mainstream which after coming to these forums i've slowly beginning to change.

Nice collection. It's a little heavy on current, domestic movies for my tastes, as you noted, but if that's what floats your boat, go for it. I agree with Slasher's comments about the FS discs.....shame shame.
A couple of things jumped out at me: You have "Scorpion King" but not the two "Mummy" prequels. Also "Signs" is there, but no "Sixth Sense" which I thought a superior film.
You might also want to consider some older pictures too. I noticed you have Blazing Saddles, you might want to thnk about "Young Frankenstein" or some of Mel's other movies. "Kentucky Fried Movie" might be up your alley too since you also have "Super Troopers."
BTW how is "Jimi Hendrix"? I've been on the fence for a while on that one. You might want to consider the Criterion "Monterey Pop" set. It's pricey, but worth it. In addition to the original movie, it has "Jimi Plays Monterey" which includes just about his whole set there (if not the whole thing...I forget.) Great stuff.
So anyone want to rate my collection?

the Jimi Hendrix dvd is pretty good, mostly just a documentary with a few songs from concerts, if you're a big Hendrix fan it's a must buy IMO.

That's strange....I can pull it up. I went and locked it, logged out, logged back in and unlocked it. If someone could try it and LMK if it's still locked, I'dd app. it.

Movie Diva: Nice mix! Anime, classic films, Hitchcock, a few criterions, drama, comedy, and some TV series. It's even a little heavy on SF, which is alright by me! Good collection.

that's odd, it's unlocked now. anyways I can't really rate either of your collections, seeing as I know nothing about a large portion of these DVD's. I really need to add a lot more variety to mine. I like movies along the Mulholland Drive, Vanilla Sky, Donnie Darko line... movies that are pretty far out there... any recommendations foreign films included would be greatly appreciated.

videophile - Nice collection. Looks like you need some anime... j/k
With a large collection like that, it's nice to feel like I didn't just walk into a Blockbuster. Bravo!

Videophile, I love your collection, we have a lot of the same and you have I Claudius, way to go and the older movies, the Bob Hope. You have something for every mood I might be in.
