Kurosawa's "Scandal" Region 0 question

Ok, I got this, first off the case says it's "letterbox" but it's full frame, although thats its OAR. The thing that i noticed is, and maybe it was through the whole film but i only noticed it near the end is that the syncing was WAY off. Did Kurosawa tend to overdub his films and is this just a really poor overdub, or is this a problem with the DVD?

Anyone know anything about this? It's the one from Poker Industries.

You have purchased a crappy quality import disc. I have a VHS version with none of those problems.

Might try moving this to the international forum... I heard the Scandal and The Idiot dvd's were pretty good, but I didn't hear anything about syncing being off.
