Daredevil/Comic Book Template
After not being able to really "do" any more of the covers that I wanted to in the comic book theme, I've decided to make a template of sorts that people can use to make their own for ones that I cannot. So far, I have started working on the front for MARVEL movies (DC will be slightly different), starting with Daredevil. I know that another DVDCA user is doing his own comic book-style cover collection, but a little competition never hurt anyone
Anyway, here's what I have so far. It's not too much, but it's a start. Also, my covers are going to be a mix between the comic and the movie - something that I'm not sure the other users' covers will be.
There isn't very much to comment on so far, but I'd appreciate any input anyone might have.

If we could get a few people to do all the Comic Book covers in one style that would be great, but there are so many comic book movies that's it's going to be hard to do them. Not counting that there are about 5 different comic studios that have had movies made from there comics.
also I think the hardest part of doing these covers is coming up with good useable Comic Book art for the front (since most are done using that style) If maybe someone did a set like Angel mentioned in his thread that uses the original poster art (which I would prefer on alot of the covers) & just puts them in a template, like the Disney Collection, then I think it would be much easier to do.

Do you mean something like the official poster for the front, a comic-style spine and maybe a back separated into frames like those of a comic book? Something along those lines?
The way I'm planning on making this, you will only need 1 good comic picture, 1 pretty good one, and some images from the movie. I might wind up trying something like what you're talking about after I finish the Daredevil cover, though.

I kind of changed things up a little bit to make it easier for me to actually finish the cover. Now, it will have a comic book cover front, and the back will have movie elements arranged in a comic book format. Here's what I have so far. Any comments would be appreciated.

Also, I don't know how to "digitally process" a movie photo to make it look more comic like. I wish I could, but I can't
... So, in my case, that idea is out.

I like the pic you're using, Dojo.
As for my "digital processing of a movie still" idea, I know there's a couple of people on eBay trying to pass of computer-altered photos as "limited prints" of their own "watercolors" and "ink drawings".

Thanks.
I do know how to make pictures look like paintings (oil, watercolor, etc.), but I have no idea how to make it convincingly look like a hand-drawn comic book-stlye image. I know a few movies have actually done this, Waking Life being one off the top of my head. I wish I knew how, but I haven't seen a way to do it. If there is anyone here who does know, I would really appreciate a lesson.
