Largest CD/DVD storage unit available online?
I'm looking for the biggest storage shelf/cabinet I can find that is designed for DVD's and CD's. I have over 1000 CD's and 500 DVD's so I need all the space I can get. Hopefully in one unit. This is the largest one I have found:
It holds 2064 CD's or 900 DVDs.
58" wide x 11.5" deep x 94" tall
Link
Anyone know of anything bigger?

That one looks pretty nice. I wish they weren't so frickin' expensive. I have been using two 5 shelf bookshelves (6 foot high and just over 2 foot wide each) for mine and they are only like $40 or $50 each if you find them on sale but they definitely don't look ideal. Ho hum.... here's hoping that one day I can convince myself to spend $400 that I would otherwise spend on DVDs on such a nice shelf.

Wait...nevermind, here's the site: www.can-am.ca/cdvideo.htm
It doesn't hold a ton of dvds...but it still is a super nice way to store them...I hope all the links work...here's some other places I've gone looking:
www.storeyourmedia.com
www.thejungles.com
Guess that's it. Good luck in your hunt!

I'd love something like that draw cabinet but am having to make do with bookcases to hold my DVD's...i've got a lot of awkward sized boxsets, tins and specially packaged DVD's which i've really only been able to accomadate on bookcases (still have a lot stored in storage boxes until i find space for more storage units)

I'm still (as in all the other threads on this topic) totally pro tower. http://www.thejungles.com/spintow10.html. The tower in this link is about a big as they get...it holds 440 DVDs, but it only takes up a little over 1 SQ FT of floor space. RichDB10, I have lots of box sets and such, too. The shelves are adjustable, so you can make it fit whatever you want.
Plus, they're only about $250 delivered.

i have to say i didn't really investigate that link until you drew my attention to it more and am quite impressed by a number of products..i'll definately 'bookmark' that link for further investigation once i have the funds etc..
I notice they mention shipping outside California but am hoping they ship internationally and at a reasonable enough price...guess i'll have to e-mail them to confirm.
Cheers.

I've been looking for one that holds about 500 dvd's and stores them on all sides. One that spins. I saw it advertised in a catalog I found on an airplane but I unfortunately left it there. It was about 300 dollars. I currently have my dvd's on 7 shelves lined up right next to each other but it takes up a TON of room...

I've had no problem with mine, and it's on carpet. Let's put it this way....I let my 6 & 8 yr olds turn it to select a movie. If I had any fears of tipping, they would NOT be doing that, and it is currently maxed. I just ordered a second. I've had it for some time, and it was not a problem even when it wasn't full (in other words, not balanced).

Quite Frankly it's a never ending battle to find space and secure racks and shelving. I love displaying my disks but I'm at 568 disks and counting. I've bought and Built shelving and you simply outgrow it. I've come to the decision the best option is to transfer the Disks to slimline CD cases, number them , and then print out a nice coffee table book out of DVD Profiler. I'm also printing out Artwork for the CD Front Cover, although that's an extra step I don't have to really do. I'm storing the Boxes and Artwork in my Attic in case I need to sell any disks. If those CD Binders held disks without scratching them I'd consider those. Also I find it's nice to have them out of site when people I don't know comeover, or when those I do know want to treat me like a Hollywood Video.

I'm also looking to get a similar spinning tower, just to add capacity to the black shelf units. btw imp, the 1060 tower takes up about 2-1/4 sq. feet of floor space, which is quite a bit more than "a little over 1 SQ FT "! (But still relatively compact.)
