Anyone able to find the WWE Shawn Michaels DVD???

Just thought I would ask if anyone has found this DVD today??

It was advertised on RAW last night that it would only be found at Suncoast.

I go out to the Suncoast in Maplewood, MN all they have on the new release shelf is 4 VHS copies. I asked the clerk if they have any copies in DVD. The clerk was rude, and didnt even want to make the effort to check. I looked on the price on the VHS copy and they wanted 29.99 for it.

After giving the clerk a headlock, I had him call around to a couple of surrounding Suncoasts. None of the stores he called recieved any copies on DVD, nor did they no anything about the release.

After giving the clerk a stone cold stunner, i asked if he could order me one. His reply, "they havent updated our computer in months, I have no listing for a dvd under that title." I left in disgust, and tried Best Buy, just in case they might have it.

Unfortunatly my local Best Buy had none, nor had a listing for it.

so anyways I just wanted to know if this DVD exists, or is WWE only releasing this on VHS

I ordered my copy from bestbuy.com but because they are revamping their site I can't check to see what the status of my order is.

PLEASE! I was watching the bonus features of the Wrestlemania XIX DVD last night and the blurring of the logos were completely distracting!

I can't believe Vince did something as stupid as defying a court order overseas, which prompted the name change. As I understand it, he was allowed to keep the name "WWF" as long as he didn't market it in the UK, which of course he did, and lost the name. Couldn't he have changed the name when doing matches overseas to be WWF-UK or something like that? Or even WWE? (and thus not having to change the name everywhere)

I bombed out at both Best Buy & Circuit City

About the logo...

Someone on this board said that only the "scratch" WWF logo needs to be censored.

Shawn's matches should all have the old silver one or the current WWE one (SummerSlam 2002) so perhaps no censoring??!!??

No luck finding it here in San Diego.

This is following the exact pattern as the Wrestlemania XIX DVD. Initial release date is a week earlier, and the actual release date in stores is a week later than they say. This was initially supposed to have been out on 6/17. They say it's supposed to be out today, 6/24. I wouldn't be surprised if it hits the stores on July 1st. Looks like a distributor problem.

A poster in Bargains forum said he found 2 at FYE for $19.99. Not a bad price, I'll have to check an FYE out during lunch.

For the hulk hogan dvd, there was no blurring for the bonus matches at least.

Which may lend credence to the "old silver logo is OK" theory... which is good news (if true) for the HBK disc as all his matches, besides summerslam 2002, would have that logo

Also..taken from 1wrestling.com

There is a cool "Easter Egg" on the Wrestlemania XIX DVD. Go to the "Chapters" section on disc 2 and highlight "The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin" match and press the right arrow on your remote control. It will take you to a six-minute segment with The Rock interrupting Steve Austin's autograph session at the Fax Axxess party in Seattle.

SummerSlam 2002 had the new revised logo in use by then - that won't be censored in any case

By the way I have both an mpeg of the DX “presidential speech” and the flasher both 110% non-censored! On WWF TV they were censored and on the Funniest Moments DVD they were censored!! But I have it all bad language with no beeps, breasts with full nipples, ALL of it!!

IMO the DX era was one of the most fun. Such a shame most of it may never see the light of day again :/

Possible reason why we can't get the Shawn Michaels DVD yet!

Taken from 1Wrestling.com

Jason Head sent this: I went to my local Suncoast yesterday to buy the new Shawn Michaels DVD because it was supposed to be released yesterday. I couldn't find it when I was there and I asked the manager and he explained that they didn't have it. He said that his company (The Musicland Group) returned about one million copies to the distributor because the DVD's were encoded wrong; they were encoded the way that a VHS would be encoded and then burned onto discs! He said that they might have them in either today or tomorrow. This appears to affect all of The Musicland Group stores (Suncoast, Media Play, On Cue & Sam Goody) and their parent company: Best Buy.

LB: Looks like we may have to wait a day or so to get the DVD. (I'm planning on swinging by both Best Buy/Media Play tomarrow so I'll let anyone know if they have the DVD on sale yet.)
