Wild Zero - FINALLY!

According to DVD Planet, the long awaited Wild Zero is finally set for a release date of 9/30/2003.

Here, take a gander at the box art:

About time. I need some Gutar Wolf to get me through the day!

Great news! I'm definitely getting this. The only time I ever saw this was with my friend from Japan and it wasn't subtitled, she is actually friends with Guitar Wolf and they gave her a pre-released dub of it and we had a party and watched it.

Horrible cover, the original Japanese cover had that rock n roll zombie feel down better, this looks like a Return of the Living Dead reject. But hey, at leats its getting released.

Crap cover... Wonder what the specs are? I've got the R2 which is non-anamorphic with a 2.0 track. I'd love to have this in 5.1 or DTS!!! TURN IT UP, KILL SOME ZOMBIES! ROCK N ROLL!!!!!!!!!

What? Crap cover? That cover in my opinion is way better than the R2 DVD cover I have.

The UK dvd would then be a fake anamorphic transfer, making it the worst one around as it would have been upconverted from the letterboxed master thus sacrificing resolution and picking up all sorts of artifacting. There is no master available already 16x9 ehanced, and the original film elements required for a new 16x9 telecine are reported lost.
