Resident Evil SE? Lilo and Stitch:CE? When?

OK ok ok, it's been awhile since I've checked out the DVDTalk forums... and I really did use the search function to see if there were some old threads about these two movies, so please don't get mad at what I'm about to ask. eek!

Any word on...

Resident Evil:Special Edition

and/or

Lilo and Stitch:Collector's Edition?

I want to get these on DVD eventually, but I haven't heard much fanfare about them recently after the initial hubbub. IMDb even mentions the potential 2-disc edition of RE in their IMDb alternate versions section:

I imagine any work on RE will be saved until just before RE2 (2004 - oct, maybe?) is released. On nearly back-to-back releases, directors never know if they may want to edit the old scenes into the new movie in flashback form, so they tend to hold onto them until the next movie is taking shape. Also, the sales will be much better then.

I remember when RE was released, the director claimed he was working on footage for a more deluxe SE (which was counter-productive in the short term, as I held off on the normal release--although I finally gave in and bought it used a few months later). I haven't really heard anything about it since.

Resident Evil 2 begins filming in Toronto on July 30th. My guess is that a special edition will be released around the time of it's theatrical release.

RESIDENT EVIL 2 DVD VERSION, has only been released in one country so far, Germany.

I bought it, it cost a lot, but it is the best version at the moment, plenty of extras and nice packaging, its even available complete with a blood bag, filled with blood! and the alternate ending isnt up to much.
apart from germany its not gonna come out very soon any where else. It was supposed to come out here in the UK, but the deal fell apart and they just gave us the American 1 dvd version.

Hope that helps.

Well the German version is not the best version yet, as the 2 dvd american version will have more extras on the dvd, at least another commentary. The german version does have far more extras than any version at this time, DTS also, if you want it.

But if you want the german version, the best place to get it is probibly Amazon.com the german site, as I bought it somewhere strange and ended up paying a fortune, double the price if Amazon. Still I love the film so its ok.
