New Shrek DVD in August

Hey I noticed a new Shrek DVD is coming out in August. It's about 10 bucks cheaper than the 1st one. Anyone know if there are any differences?

Do you mean this? Well, most likely it's just a price reduction. Unless, it's the Ultimate Extremely Tricked-Out Edition!

It's a single disc version. According to DVDPlanet, it's fullscreen.

Another 2-Disc treasure trove supplanted by an inferior release...

Shrek Two-Disc Special Edition, we salute you.

Good thing my brother has this...

It's cheaper for Production cost silly. they realize people already have it and the amount of folks who will buy it now are the type that are not impressed by 2 disc sets or else they would have the older one.

It's part of the single-disc shrinkdown of Shrek, Gladiator, and Minority Report.

But the 2-disc versions of all 3 will still be in print and available in stores.

I believe the first release of Snatch was one disc, with pretty much the same looking cover.

As for my thoughts on Shrek, just look at the long Gladiator thread For me, its a good thing as i have yet to pick up Shrek, and i'd gladly pick up a single disc version for cheaper.

No, same Mike Myers voice

It's part of the single-disc shrinkdown of Shrek, Gladiator, and Minority Report.
Minority Report? great... I haven't gotten around to seeing it yet, when I do and if I end up liking it, I hope I'm not stuck with some lesser version. What happened to Dreamworks? they used to be pretty cool... now they do this kind of crap as well as make movies like BikerBoyz??
