Boyz N the Hood Coming September 2nd

DavidDVD.com has Boyz N the Hood for a release date of September 2nd. Does anyone know any details about this? Is this the long waited SE? What studio owns the rights to this movie? Who is excited about this movie and possible SE DVD release?

This is one hell of a good movie. I'd love to see a packed SE.

This better be an SE.

There was a deleted scene between Doughboy and Furious that occured right after
Spoiler:
the tragic shooting
that I've always wanted to see.

I'd love to check that out along with more goodies!

Cool, I've been waiting for this for a long time. I hope it atleast includes a Singleton commentary.

I would also love to see a new (animorphic) version of
Menace II Society

There was one on the Criterion LD.

Since Columbia was able to get the Python/Holy Grail commentary from Criterion, any chances of it happening here?

I think it's just a price drop, actually.

Sorry to burst the bubbles.

Grrrr.

I'm still keeping my hopes high though.

Too much of a classic (In my mind) to pass by. We need it before John Singleton's reputation sinks any lower. Plus, Fishburne's now a star. Cube has had good box office success. Chestnut's still out there. Cuba...Well, he eventually went on to grab an oscar.
Heck a cast commentary would be dope! All right, I'm gettin' ahead of myself now.

I'm still holding out on the rumour of an SE for MIIS.

On topic, I'm also hoping that this isn't merely a price drop (which it likely is).

It's a new 2-disc special edition.
Link?

That'd be great news, I love this film.

This was a good movie. I have the original disc. Maybe I should throw it up on Ebay now.

2001.

It came out 1991.

Superbit? I doubt it. The original was barebones as it was.

I still think it's just a price reduction.
