Those were all $15 or so if you got them on release date... if they were one disc, they'd have been the same so i don't understand your "wish"

Spiderman and Gladiator could have been one disk and I would have been ok with it, but there wasn't a price gouge, so it's not really an issue with me.

None! I love 2-disc sets. Even when I don't watch the extras right away, I just like knowing they're there. BTW, a single disc version of Gladiator will be released on 8/19, along with single disc versions of Shrek and Minority Report.

That would be like, I wish the 6 Disc 24 was 1 disc.. not happening. Is there really such a bother to have two disc sets? The space it must take up on your shelf must be enormous.

Next will be, how many 1 discs do you wish were 1/2?

Not to rag, but it is a silly question.

I wouldn't trade any of my 2-disc sets for single disc versions.

I thought this thread was movies that has been spaced out to 2 discs that you wish was in one disc so you dont have to get up and change discs.

Mine would be GODFATHER 2, DANCES WITH WOLVES, and upcoming GANGS OF NEW YORK.

Not sure what you're asking.... but....for "wishful thinking" purposes:

If possible to fit everything from the 2nd disc onto the first disc (w/o loss of pic/sound quality) then I would want ALL of my 2 discs sets as 1 disc

Punch-Drunk Love, I know they wanted better quality video, but a spereate disc for like 20 minutes worth of spcial features? I dunno man...

I think Punch-Drunk is a Superbit, so that may make sense.

Is it that much trouble getting up to put the Special Features discs in on the titles listed in the first post? Heck they all come in the slim double disc cases anyway, so don't see what you're asking.....

Maybe all the stuff on Unbreakable could've fit on one disc.

According to DavisDVD (where I read the news), "the 2-disc editions will continue to remain available on store shelves".

How can you complain about a 2-disc release when stores don't even charge any more money for them? They're so common now that the inclusion of a 2nd disc doesn't raise the price at all. There are also discs like "Boogie Nights" and "Unbreakable" with a weak 2nd disc of extras but I say as long as the film is over 2.5 hours and/or has a DTS track I'd rather have the extras on another disc than have them eat up valuable space on the movie-disc.

The only 2-disc sets that I wish were 1-disc are the ones that contain full-screen versions on disc 2 in order to "pad" out the extras.

my T2 UE tin is a single disc. they also have two disc sets, but if you detest the two disc set, then you should get the single disc version

I really hate to see those two discs sets where one disc is taken up solely by the FULLSCREEN version of the film.

2-discs are fine in the thin cases, but I don't like the wide ones used for The Others and The Crow SE.
