Escape to Witch Mountain SE (anamorphic!!!)
From DVDFile:
I don't know about you guys, but this news is exciting! Escape to Witch Mountain was one of my favorite movies growing up. It's about time it gets released on DVD, and with the SE-treatment to boot!
David
First up we have the classics anyone who grew up in the 70's remembers all too well, The Apple Dumpling Gang and the spooky Escape to Witch Mountain and its sequel, Return to Witch Mountain. Each gets the special edition treatment, with remastered and THX-certified anamorphic widescreen transfers and soundtracks, plus extras to be announced. Retail is $24.95 each.

I'm excited - which probably makes me a super-geek lol
It will be weird to see a high quality version of it, might seem like a different movie since I'm used to TV quality with commercial interruptions.

I have fond memories of watching this movie (and the sequel) as a kid. I don't think I'm going to tarnish those memories by watching it now since I doubt I'd like it at all. Good to hear they are getting treated well though.

I've always thought the 2nd one was crappy, so I can't really comment on what you'd think now...

I loved the Witch Mountain movies as a kid. I caught one of them on TV recently, and still enjoyed it, so I'll probably buy these.

I am actually more excited about The Apple Dumpling Gang than I am about Escape to Witch Mountain, but I will certainly pick up the latter as well.
