Cartoon Network's 'Adult Swim' Originals to DVD

http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/42...html?fromint=1
Space Ghost C2C, Aqua Teen being readied for big push.

June 06, 2003 - In a move that will delight viewers of Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" programming block, a number of original programs produced for the block are being prepped for DVD release.

In an exclusive interview with IGN FilmForce's Ken Plume, set to run in early July, Cartoon Network executive Mike Lazzo clued us in on some details for the upcoming releases.

First up is Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, one of the first original productions for Cartoon Network. The first set for the series, which has recently returned to the Adult Swim line up, will include the first season-and-a-half of the series as well as tons of extras, including special promotional materials produced with the characters and extra on-air bits, such as a New Year's countdown and a special for the premiere of the Jim Carrey film, The Mask.

The next set due out is the more recent series, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the first of the new Adult Swim programs to reach a full season of 24 episodes. Soon after, Sealab 2021 will reach the 24-episode mark, making it eligible for DVD release. Other Adult Swim series, such as the recent addition, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, and the returning Space Ghost spin-off, The Brak Show, are expected to follow as soon as they reach the 24-episode mark.
"Harvey Birdman" will be out when it reaches 24 episodes? That ought to only take, oh... 6 years.

If 24th eps are what's important...

ATHF: June 29th (Super Spore)

Harvey Birdman: The only new episode left to air is tomorrow night, and that will be ep 9. We're a long way away on this one.

Sealab 2021: Tomorrow night's ep will technically be number 24, if you count the 3 pilot episodes from December of 2000 (the series began in September of 01).

The Brak Show: Counting the pilot ep, 21 shows have been done. The last one was on December 29 of last year, and I've seen no mention of bringing it back for new episodes.

Hopefully they'll all get to the magic number and see release, especially Harvey Birdman (which has a long way to go).

40 total eps, 3 of them possibly unaired (UPN didn't air them, Cartoon Network might have).

Home Movies would be a different case since it's not an in-house production like the others are.

I know it isn't one of their original series, but I wish Cartoon Network would try to get Warner to release a Mission Hill set. Too bad the show probably isn't popular enough to warrant a release.

this is great news!

i swear i read somewhere that 10 new episodes of The Brak Show have been completed and will begin airing soon, so this should put them over 24 episodes.

s.g. : "zorak, where is your nephew?"
zorak : "i devoured him"

Brak returns this October with a bunch of new episodes.

Home Movies is done through another company I have heard. I have heard that the creators are going to put this out on DVD, but through someone else. Keep in mind that is just word of mouth.

Can't wait for all the Williams Street stuff. Not sure if Harvey Birdman is done by Williams Street, but I want that on DVD some day as well. Don't know if it will ever get to 24 episodes though.

Just before SGC2C aired last night, it said Nov. 18 is slated for the release of the DVD. It also had a list of the episodes, which totaled up to the first season and a half.

In short, Nov. 18 is your release date. Time is ticking.
