When I buy it the disc goes into one of multi-changers(300+1) and the case goes into one of the racks. I have copy books I notate which player it's in and what storage cabinet or hanger the case can be found.

Believe it or not, this was actually discussed before right here!

Oh - for the record, my copy of Animatrix will probably end up shoved into a Band Of Brothers or Buffy box set, or possibly hidden behind a few videotapes, once my six year-old gets done rooting around for a Jimmy Neutron DVD.

I store things alphabetically, and I am seriously reconsidering this since I do want to have sequals even if they are under a different name, together. Such as 'Friday' and 'Next Friday', and I would love all my disney films together as well. Well, at least the platinum ones.

I think I'll have 'Animatrix' placed after 'The Matrix', and 'The Matrix Reloaded'. As it's something clearly you should see after probably Reloaded.

I will stick with my current alphabetization--keeping Animatrix under "A" where it belongs. I am used to looking for movies alphabetically in stores so I set it up the same way at home.

Nerds....

I'll store Reloaded alphabetical and I'll store the Matrix with all my snappers separately in alphabetical order. I'll leave Animatrix in the store since I have no interest in it.

Well originally I was going to store Animatrix in my anime section (so it would have been nowhere near the Matrix movies), but since I didn't really care for much of it and decided it lacked a definite "anime"-ness I am going to drop it in with the Matrix DVDs, probably before or after the three of them.

Sorry to ruin your day, Pixy, but your troubles are going to begin way before you even get it home . . . once you've purchased the DVD at the store, does it go in a plastic or paper bag?!?! And don't think you can get around this by ordering online!!! USPS, UPS, or FedEx?!?!

I changed my mind, I'll probably just stick with alphabetizing. If I stick anything together, it will probably just be the Disney Platinum editions. If I really want to watch Animatrix, I know exactly where it is, in the 'A's. I'm not catering my collection for anybodies view except my own.

Merged, and closing. We already have the "How do you organize your DVDs?" megathread, which has amazingly required a Part 2. Please put any talk about organizing in there.
