Jurassic Park - No DTS Set
With all the multitudes of JPs floating around, how come they never released a DTS 3 box set? You only get 1 & 2 DD5.1 and 3 is DTS/DD5.1. How is it thet could get both DTS and DD tracks along with the special features all on one disc for JP3 but they couldn't do on 1 & 2? I'm guessing it was either a marking decision however maybe they would have had to turn up the compression and thus the video would suffer on 1 & 2. But on the other hand, didn't the video on JP3 look great too? I wonder if they plan to do a JP4 movie and then re-release a better box set in the future?

JP 1 & 2 are available with DTS. These links are from Amazon, but they illustrate my point...

I'm guessing it has to do with technological advances in transfers between the release of the first 2 and the release of the 3rd one. JP 1&2 weren't the only DVD's to get separate DTS releases back then, but nowadays the DTS track is included with the DD5.1 on things instead.
