Dick Tracy: wasn't there supposed to be Vista Series release of this?
I seem to recall reading about two years ago that Dick Tracy was supposed to have a DVD release that would contain an alternate PG-13 cut of the movie with a darker tone and more violence. In addition to that, it would have commentary by Warren Beatty and lots of extras, but when the disc arrived, it was bare bones.
Anyone know anything about this? If not this title, what about the Ed Wood that got delayed over a year ago?

I thought I heard something about a SE of this too. I did some research before I bought the barebones, and found out the BB was the only one out.
I would definitely welcome an SE. I enjoyed this flick. [and the soundtrack too..]
Hell, if Tombstone can get a Vista*..

Someone posted it before but it was said that the actors, directors, etc could not agree or have time to contribute to the SE so it never happened... something like that I think. Maybe in the future it will happen. As for now, nope.

I remember back when Dick Tracy was released on DVD (or near release), that rumors were of a 3 disc Dick Tracy Vista Series was being talked about including the theatrical cut, R-Rated Director's cut, and a disc full of extras.
I'd double dip for that if it ever comes to light.

Warren Beatty is notoriously difficult to work with when it comes to the home video releases of his films. One of the reasons Reds is not available on DVD is because he refuses to make the time to approve a transfer.
I'm pretty sure Disney just got fed up with him and cancelled the Vista Series plans.
