Hey anyone heard about Face/Off being rerleased anytime? im not looking for extras i just want a descent picture. Faceoff is one of my favorite movies but the release that is out came out when dvd first started and looks horrible, its grainy and not anamorphic so i looks terrible on my hdtv. Anyways just curious if anyone else knows or feels the same way.

It certainly is anamorphic and there are no plans to re-release it.

actually ive read about plans to rerelease it at some point.
i'm sorry but i cant give you anything more specific than that. its one of my favorite films and ill definitely be purchasing any special edition that comes out since this one has zero special features!

Rumors of a re-release have been around forever, but it's never been confirmed. And it doesn't help that it's a Paramount title. They probably do fewer re-releases than every other major studio.

weird. i just recently watched my copy and it is anamorphic and didn't look horrible at all on my hdtv. probably not the best transfer ever, but certainly pretty decent and definitely not even close to distractingly bad.

thanks, your right it is anamorphic i hadnt watched it in a while i remembered it wrong. I do own the version out now and its not distractingly bad but when I see them release the complete season of the real world las vegas on dvd it made me think of a couple movies i wish theyd remember about. Doesnt seem like paramount rereleases much, oh well. Thanks for the feedback people appreciate it.
