I appreciate honesty and all feedback. Some of which I incorporate into the work. That is why I hated the low votes and no feedback.

Anyway, just uploaded Aristocats. I am in need of some lyrics for Make Mine Music before I can upload that one. I can't locate any on the web, and this is a title I down' own, so I can't pop it in myself to see. Any help guys and gals?

I am basically done with Three Caballeros. I am having trouble with the front poster though. It is a long skinnny poster, not the standard size. Maybe I will upload later for some feedback on what to do.

This is a good idea, except that I can't downlaod covers. I always gave at least an 8 to anyone who did a great custom (a 10 for the Disney Covers & almost anything Darth does) At least I can e-mail the author & tell him my comments.

also, I e-mailed the guy who's doing the Dreamworks covers & gave him a few suggestion (changing the template color, changing "widesceen" to "animation" & a few other small things)

I saw that Custom Dreamworks cover, and I don't like. Its too much like the Disney Customs.

Lol I don't think it is ... okay the cover has a rounded rectangle cut-out ... and the background is also grey .... but that is where it ends .... my highlander covers would fit the same description ... but still they are completely different ...

Anyway I'm planning on doing a dreamworks cover series myself ... and believe me it won't be like these covers at all ...

I'm still waiting for The Rescuers, Oliver & Company and Sleeping Beauty ... but that last one won't be for anyday soon I guess since it hasn't been released in R1 yet ... so I guess I'll have to stand my R2 cover for a bit longer then ...

One idea about the lyrics for Make Mine Music.
There are programs that can "rip" subtitles.
First you have to "rip" the vob file to your hard drive
and then scan the vob files. The subtitles are really
graphics, but the programs "learn" the picture of an "E"
and then places an "E" text in a text file.
I don't have the hard disc space to do the rip.
Someone may "rip" all of the subtitles and then pass
the text file onto MC.

Here are some links to look into;

The problem is that the DVD isn't released untill next month over here ... so if you still don't have some by then i'll rip em ... but I doubt no one would have come up with some lyrics by then ...

Did you try searching for the lyrics by the shorts names rather than Make Mine Music?

Might have better luck.

Yep. Searched for song titles, and by Make Mine Music. Ripping the subtitles sounds like a lot of work when you can just pop in the dvd and listen to it, then jot it down on a piece of paper. IMO.

Where are you Scaramanga?

DV, I uploaded Aristocats a couple of days ago. No signs of it posted. I checked and it is no longer on the server either. Any idea? Also, you haven't sent me any info on dvdca admin stuff. Thanks.

Do you do this as a hobbie or have you made covers for any of the studios?

Because frankly you have done some excellent work.

The covers are a hobby. I am a professional graphic designer though. Degree and all. Around these parts there has been a significant lack of jobs since Sept 11, 2001. I know that sounds lame but, call backs just ceased after that day and there is only maybe 1 opening a month at a place and you have 300 people applying for the same position. So I do this to keep up my skills until I find another job.

That's too bad. Because you should fix some of the lame-ass covers that some of these studios are putting out.

The black space on the sides of the front cover of
The Three Caballeros looks a little empty.
Would you consider filling the black space with the same
vertical color banding as the blanket the 3 caballeros
are holding on the back of the cover?
You could even apply a wave or woven texture
the the vertical stipes and make it look even more
like the Mexican blankets.
