Best buy to include exclusive south pk. bonus disc of "cartman gets an anal probe"

thedigitalbits.com
Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great long holiday weekend. We, of course, completely forgot about the long weekend, thus the post today rather than yesterday as expected. Sometimes, you work so hard you forget what day it is. ;-)

Let's run down the news. Does this drive anyone else crazy? Best Buy has conjured up another DVD exclusive bonus disc offer, this time with Warner Home Video. If you preorder South Park: The Complete Second Season with Best Buy, you'll receive an exclusive bonus disc that contains the complete, unaired version of the episode Cartman Gets an Anal Probe. Why in the heck can't this stuff just be on the original DVD in the first place? Thanks to Bits reader Johnnie Y. for bringing this to our attention.

I wonder if "nothing without my anus" will be on the season 2 set.

Yea, same topic, different section. I think i'll get it. I'm a huge South Park fan so a little extra cash isnt much for an uncut "Anal Probe" episode.

Just so you non-hardcore SP fans know, what they cut out of the original first episode was later put into following episodes to fill time. If you pay attention, you can definitley tell the quality difference in the following episodes.

Otherwise, if you absolutley LOVE SP like I do, you gotta get that bonus DVD.

Oh, and yes, they should have put it into the DVD set anyways, that does piss me off. But the S2 DVD set has the doc. "Goin' Down To South Park" which is a great documentary. I still want more Matt Stone & Trey Parker commentaries though.

I have the R4 discs, but I might have to order this set now that Best Buy is offering a bonus disc.

I knew that Sam Goody and Suncoast were one and the same, but also owned by Best Buy, that's new news to me... really?

I think its that sam goody ect are a part of best buy's little family but it is its seperate company, maybe the reason for selling retail price

Also this is the season where all of the episodes are great.

Yes they are owned by Best Buy:

"Minneapolis-based The Musicland Group, Inc. is a subsidiary of Best Buy Co., Inc., and is the nation’s leading specialty retailer of pre recorded entertainment software products."
from: http://shop.suncoast.com/site/help/aboutus.jsp

I was surprised too back when I found that out. But it made sense at the one by me everytime they didn't have something they would tell me to try Best Buy (which I had already...like i would go to suncoast unless I am desperate).

I don't know why they are so much more than Best Buy, maybe it is because they can be. Everyone knows that they are more expensive yet people still buy from Suncoast. I know I will only buy from there if Best Buy doesnt have it or I don't want to wait for an online order. And mainly I only buy anime DVDs from Suncoast...since they have a better selection of LE anime titles.
