Season 3 is the last real season. There was a short three episode mini series after that, but this will be the last boxed set.

The 80's series never sucked.

There's still a season 3 part 2 set so it's not the last. The show for me started to suck after the movie came out.

Aw, man, I wish they weren't splitting up the season like that. Season 3 only has 30 episodes. They could have fit them on a 5 disc set for $70.

Instead, we have Part 1 for $50 and Part 2 for $50.

Anyone else see a pricing problem?

Season 2, Part 2 - 25 episodes - $60
Season 3, Part 1 - 15 episdoes - $50

I hate that they're breaking it up as well (especially when you think about the $$$ side of it). Since Rhino puts 6 eps per disc this could easily be a 5 disc set. But this is a money making enterprise for Rhino so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. I am just happy it's being released fairly quickly.

I don't think it'll be that much. Anyways Rhino will be remastering the 3 TF Rebirth eps and putting them in the S3 part2 dvd set.
I doubt we'll see the dvd in aug/sept, more like November. Since both s1 and s2pt1 came out in November.

Later

Are you sure they are splitting Season 3?

Makes no sense to me. There weren't enough episodes to split it and charge $50 per set.

Do you have information confirming this, or is this just speculation on your part? If it's just speculation, I'd say it's more likely that the Rebirth episodes will NOT be part of Season 3, Part 2, since they are not part of Season 3. They are Season 4.

I always thought season three was the best of the seasons. I liked the post-movie character designs and the futuristic vehicles they turned into.

Also, season three tended to be kind of trippy and surreal, and even a little creepy.

Granted, I haven't seen it since I was twelve or thirteen, but that's how I remember it.
