Has "The Love Bug" been delayed?

I tried calling Best Buy, Circuit City, The Disney Store, etc. and no one has ANY info on "The Love Bug" being released today. Has the release date been pushed back?

I am heading to Best Buy right now. They have it for sale on their website, so we will see. I will let you know if I find it, and where.

The Love Bug is listed as in stock at DVDEmpire. So it does look like it was released today, but I have no idea which B&M stores will have it.

Disney sent out review copies of it at the same time as 20,000 Leagues, so it should be available today.

I just called the 1-800-72-DISNEY phone number and they verified that it was, indeed, released today. I'm just curious as to why there are no B&M stores in the NJ area that are aware of/stocking it on the release day.

Here is where I went today:
Best Buy
Circuit City
Sam's
CostCo
Wal-Mart
Target
Movie Trading Company
Movie Xchange

None of them had either The Love Bug or The Rescuers

I did get: (all at CostCo)
Frasier Season 1 $32.99
Milo's Return $17.49
Dark Angel Season 1 $39.99
20,000 Leagues $17.49

Does that toll free number work from Canada?

I'd like to give Disney a piece of my mind as to why they didn't release Love Bug in Canada?? Makes no sense!!

I went to two FYE store, Disney store and Best Buy.

None of them had Rescuers, 20,000 leagues, or Love Bug

Disney store said that sometimes they don't get all thats released, and it might be online thing only.

Just got back from DVDPlanet Store. They had Love Bug, Rescuers, and 20,000. So it's out there.

Somebody at disney must have droped the ball on the distribution/announcement of this release. J&R in NYC does not have it in stock or listed in their system and they usually have/receive every title.

I couldn't find the Rescuers or Love Bug at any B&M store. Ended up going to Best Buy, Circuit City, Disney Store, Target, and Walmart.

Except for the Disney Store, they all had 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea available. You would think that would be one place to find all three DVDs.

Looks like Amazon just got some of the Love Bug in. Their page for it now shows it usually ships within 24 hours and the status of my order just changed to being prepared for shipping.

This makes me sick. Gotta stick it to consumer due to a short lack of availability that will be reconciled within a few days. Then there will be more than enough to go around.

Saw the price + shipping to Canada = Insane amount. Then I have to add the exchange rate and hope it passes customs without me getting dinged. Forget that, i'll wait.

I went to the Disney Store in Times Square today because they tend to have all the new Disney releases when they come in. Well, I thought they would. They did not have 20000 Leagues, Love Bug, or The Rescuers.

I asked the asst. manager if he knew if some were going to come in and he told me that they hadn't been ordered for their store by the region manager. He then suggested I try "a regular video store because most of the video they stock is for children." I interpreted that as meaing the Playhouse Disney series that are on DVD, since there is a lot of Rolie Polie Olie there.

Anyway.... He was genuinely apologetic and I got the feeling that he'd been getting the same question for a few days.

I've found 20000 Leagues, but I'm still looking for Love Bug and the Rescuers...
