Actually, Apple Dumpling Gang and the two Witch Mountain movies will be Special Editions, presumably 2-disc sets like the 6 previous ones:

You're sure DISNEY is putting these out..? DISNEY...as in WALT Disney? There's gotta be some kind of a catch.. Perhaps we'll have to hunt all over the place to find 'em [ie the Love Bug, the Rescuers].

I'm gonna contain my excitement & until there's some sort of confirmation [like when the DVDs are physcially IN my hands]...

Thanks LBPOUND & ROBCA

That is fantastic news!!

I'd like to see an interview with Kim Richards now just to see how she looks..She was a great kid actress in the 70's

....And then grew up to become a major babe in the 80's..

PS What ever happened to the other kid Ike Eisennman??..He disappeard from show business. Is he even still alive??

I guess not all child actors can make the transition to adult parts like Jodie Foster or Ron Howard

I'm hoping she'll do audio commentaries, like Hayley Mills did on The Parent Trap and Pollyanna.

I hope the Mary Poppins s.e. will be loaded. I still have the Japanese import laserdisc I bought when I didn't think it would ever get letterboxed in the US. Then the domestic LD, which was OAR and had some interesting extras, was too expensive, and the previous DVD didn't look like it had any good extras at all. So I'm ready to upgrade!

I have to second this all the way. This is one the greatest all-time live action films that Disney ever produced. To me it has by far the greatest childrens soundtrack ever. Each song from the film is an instant classic. It holds my daughter captivated for the entire 2+ hours each time she watches it.

WOW! I can't believe no one is talking about 12/02 release of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. I'm dying to see this movie, the trailers look awesome.

Some nice titles coming out.

I'm intrigued by the Kim Possible release. I need to find out more about it.

I know there are handful of episodes and have seen each one repeatedly on ABC saturday morning and the Disney Channel.

01/27/04 Lilo & Stitch - Special Edition
I haven't seen any recent news about this--hype, specs, anything--and it is only a little over a month away. I don't see it listed anywhere for pre-order yet. Is it still on Disney's release calendar for this date?

No, it and Pocahontas are slated for May, now.

Ok, with the Brother Bear 2 disc SE,

is there anything more definitive on the 2 disc lilo, other than "uh, May, yeah, May..."?

Here are the "official" release dates for the following dvds...

01/27/04 Alice In Wonderland

02/10/04 Lion King 1½

03/30/04 Brother Bear

05/04/04 Disney Treasures (wave 3)

05/04/04 Lilo & Stitch

05/04/04 Pocahontas

They are all supposed to be 2-disc Special Editions with of course the Treasures being Limited Editions.

Somehow I can't really see all 4 Treasures, L&S, and Pocahontas all coming out on the same day... but we'll see.
