Where is Raise The Red Lantern?
I love this film but haven't heard anything whatsoever on a Region 1 release....does anyone know what studio has the U.S. distribution rights to this film and whether they have any future plans to release it? Thanks

MGM/UA own the rights. This film was not on the "unofficial list of 2003 releases" that circulated recently, so we probably won't see it until at least 2004.
MGM/UA is releasing Zhang Yimou's To Live on July 1st---maybe if it sells well, we'll see Raise the Red Lantern (arguably his masterpiece) even sooner . . .
