Back to the Future DVD corrected version?

I just picked up a copy of the Back to the Future trilogy and before i open it, i want to make sure i got the corrected widescreen version. Does anyone remember what the barcode is for the corrected version?

Thanks

It should say "V2" on the back of the case near the audio and video description box.

Does this also apply for the Canadian Version? I'v just received the BTTF box from DVDSoon. The cover is in English and French.
I can't find the "V2" anywhere

You probably have the uncorrected discs. From what I've heard, the only way to get the right version at this point is to buy the defective ones from a retailer and send in discs 2 and 3 to be replaced.

Yes, it will be marked on the Canadian disks too according to Melissa McGee at Universal. See here and last couple of posts on page 2 here

Good question.

Here in Reg 2 land, we are still waiting for our replacement disks to be mastered! We were originally told it would be May. This morning I got a letter from Universal saying July. If they write to me again to inform me of another date change, I will scream. I will.

Does anybody know if they are still accepting the original defective DVDs? I got my envelope to send them back in a long time ago but I never sent them in. I guess I should but I don't wanna lose 'em if they aren't accepting them anymore.

They are.

Try calling the number you called to get your envelopes if you are unsure.

Any chance of a remastered R3 version? I'd prefer to get the DTS version.

R2 and R4 both have DTS. Reports are that the DTS is not any better than the DD though. In fact, I recall this being the reason that it was left off the R1.

I guess that always depends on who you're talking to.

I can't stand the PAL speed up so I won't be buying the R2 or R4.

Just curious...

Yup it does, but there's a rather in depth comparison over at www.michaeldvd.com.au and they're usually very reliable.

I've always found the lower resolution and 3:2 pulldown of NTSC more annoying, but it's always swings and roundabouts so I just buy whatever's cheapest, everything else being equal (e.g. extras)

For the record, as of today, they are still happily sending out return envelopes. I finally got around to calling and the envelopes are on their way.

I procrastinate too much... One of these days, I need to send back those improper Bond DVDs...

According to DvdTimesUK There's still a problem with the remasterd discs from the UK and Australia.

They've posted screen comparisons shots of the old version, the remastered version from the UK/Australia and the remastered region 1 version.....
