Willard on DVD?

Any ideas if/when the movie Willard starring Crispin Glover will be available on DVD?

"Willard" Cast:

Elsa Lanchester....Henrietta Stiles Ernest Borgnine....Al Martin
Sondra Locke....Joan
Michael Dante....Brandt
Jody Gilbert....Charlotte Stassen
Joan Shawlee....Alice Rickles
William Hansen....Mr. BarskinJ.
Pat O'Malley....Jonathan FarleyJohn Myhers....Mr. Carlson
Helen Spring....Mrs. Becker
Pauline Drake....Ida Stassen
Almira Sessions....Carrie Smith
Alan Baxter (I)....Walter T. Spencer

would love to have the old one also, although I'm sure I'll check the new one out. I liked Bruce Davidson as the rodent pied-piper. I dont have any info on the new version on dvd, date wise anyway. btw, The Haunting will be here soon!!

Great, so thanks for the 2 posts guys...they clearly answer my question.

I too would like to see Willard and Ben fromt he 70s on DVD as well, but I figured there is more chance for the 2003 Willard to come out on DVD before those (or maybe they'll all come out at the same time? Re: 13 Ghosts...and I know there are others, but I'm drawing a blank here...maybe Ocean's 11?)

I'm sure Willard will make it to dvd. It was just released in March, so it might be a few months before the dvd is announced.

Sorry for the long-winded hijacking from a certain poster, J...

I couldn't find any info from the New Line site or any "upcoming DVD" sites, but since Willard came out March 14, I'm guessing a September release. Found nothing about features either, though I imagine New Line will have a tidy package for it... let's hope it has Glover's cover of "Ben'!

Willard has been rumored for an august dvd release.
I was hoping they were to include the original version with the remake.

By the way, I like the remake a little bit more.
Even though the first one holds a special place in my heart.
Excuse me, I have to go sing to a rat now.
Bye.

The original would be very nice to have, but I prefer the remake too. It's a shame that it tanked, because it was surprisingly funny and strangely heartfelt.
