Name your favorite scene that was on vhs but deleted on DVD!

Timerider DVD
Spoiler:
At the end when the gang leader (Peter Coyote) 'shot' the pilot, the helicopters rotor *sliced* off his legs; they took the splatter scene out completely.

Yours?

Isn't this the only scene that was deleted? Not a lot in the running.

And as for the above, didn't the director say this was the version he liked better?

Wasn't something cut from the Flirting with Disaster DVD that is on the VHS? Maybe the outtakes?

The only one that comes to mind is the 1-800 SPANK ME joke from The Santa Clause.

Not really a "deleted scene" per se, but The Crow VHS had Brandon Lee's last interview on it. It's not on the DVD.

Also, Gia on VHS is the unrated, longer version. It's finger-lickin' good.

So the VHS has a longer version of this scene?

The VHS of 'Colors' (Sean Penn & Robert Duvall) is the DC; it has a scene where Penn's character confronts some gang members outside his girlfriend's house. The scene is not on the DVD.

As for extras content, there's a small making-of featurette on the VHS of 'Outside Providence' that isn't on the DVD.

For that matter, 'Midnight Cowboy' - VHS=documentary; DVD=barebones. Sad.

never saw the VHS version but I'd like to see the unrated cut of "Sleepaway Camp" that Anchor Bay for some reason decided not to release as such for the DVD edition.

Yes, there are outtakes missing from the end credits on the DVD because Disney decided that they were too racy or something. The VHS and laserdisc releases have the complete movie.

My pick: Manhunter. The "theatrical" cut on the DVD is not the theatrical cut at all.

In RED HEAT, when the bad guys break out the russian bad guy.
The black guy dressed like armored truck guard fires a shot in the street at the cops, that scene is cut.

In THE WARRIORS, the TV version began with Cleon talking with his girlfriend for a few moments. For whatever reason, this scene was not included in the bare-bones DVD.

WRT on the VHS but not on DVD (although it's not strictly a deleted scene) the VHS for Disney's Jugle Book had some sort of making of special on it that wasn't included on the DVD

The 'added for TV' scenes in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I was real disappointed they didn't make it in either the VHS or DVD versions.

Blazing Saddles - on TV there was a scene where Madeline Kahn (Lily), comes out on stage for the first time wearing a tux, a la Dietrich, then says something like, "Excuse me while I slip into something more comfortable", and comes out in her "showgirl" outfit. Not in the DVD. The DVD picks up when she comes out in the showgirl outfit.

(You can see her in the tux again later in the movie as she leads some Nazis in song around a campfire, THAT part wasn't cut)

Speaking of Blazing Saddles, I really missed all of the stunts that the sheriff pulled to trick Mongo... The Quick Draw arcade game with the cannon, the "Dive for Pearls" stunt where he had to deposit .25 cents, etc... I am not sure if these were previously on video, but they were on the TV version, and nowhere to be found on the DVD.
